Last year we presented four spankings involving the minor comic strip Lena Pry we had discovered in Golden Age reprint comics. Our valued and long-time contributor JS666 then informed us he remembered two other spankings involving Lena. We in turn passed that information along to CSR Chief Researcher Sweetspot who really eats up that sort of challenge. He went back to the newspaper archives to seek the strips out, and we'll see them now. (The whole story and the comics may also be found on the Bulletin Board here: Lena Pry as Recalled by JS666.
Here is Sweetspot's summary:
"Lena Pry Arizona Republic October 9, 1938 - Lena Pry moved to Sparrow Gulch in January 1937. She inherited a 'farm' there from her uncle Lem Squares. The men of the gulch are pretty much lazy bums that put the work load on the 'henhussys' as the women are commonly called. So the women strike! The sit-down strike seems to be almost craze like in it's commonality in the late 1930's. As we can see at least one of the striking ladies will be doing very little sitting-down any time soon. There's a lot of fish-out-of-water, Green Acres-style humor in this strip and in general, but not always, Lena seems to get the worse of the bruising."

The spanker really needs to have more control over the spankee than this! Also, it's a bit on the brutal side, even though the follow-up
makes it clear that Lizzie is o.k. with being spanked by her husband. It's somewhat doubtful that this marital spanking is justified, as
disciplinary spankings should be, and firmness should go hand-in-hand with kindness.
