Spankings involving superheroes and superheroines, non-superhero comic-book stuff, comic strips, jungle girls, Lara Croft, Vampirella, Elvira, etc. Chross' board already has an excellent thread on this, but we love this subject so much we figure it deserves its own forum here anyway.

jim from texas

Post by jimc »

Hi everyone, we have talked about an artist that creates many things that are near and dear to our hearts namely comic strips featuring a lot of spanking in the world of DC esp. The Legion of Super-heroes and many DC heroines. His yahoo group is called Theatre Group and the owner is Jim Scribner from Texas. Unless you belong to the group you may not have seen much of his work, but over at Harry's site (Vanilla spanking on Tumbler) I get there by way of Richard Windsor's site and he has a lot of our favorite models on display. so I hope you go over and see some good art and some other art that is not really that great as Jim and Harry will both attest to, but you can form your own opinion if you have not seen it before. I am glad about his work as he does have many Lois Lanes getting spanked and a few others that we have talked about commissioning one of our resident artists or some other artist to do. He has done many of them and this is a great time to see some of them while they are being displayed outside the group. Thanks and have a great day.

[Web-Ed's comments:] Thanks, Jim - to avoid confusion let me add the link here rather than in a reply. The problem with Harry's site is that while he calls it "Vanilla Spanking," that's not the URL, and if you try searching for vanilla spanking on tumblr you will probably come up with a different and rather disgusting (for my taste) site. So here is the link Jim is talking about: Mainstream Spanking. Harry, by the way, is a long time spanko and contributor to various sites.

Perhaps I'll gather some of Texas Jim's work and feature it on CSR. I haven't seen any of it in a long time because I'm not a member of the Theatre Group.

Thanks for the mention. I have always thought that Jim's work is one of the best kept secrets of the spanking internet; he deserves to be better known and better appreciated. And, tying in with one of CSR's interests, he does a great deal of superheroine art.

Just to clarify: my site is on Wordpress, not tumblr. The reason for the contradiction between the URL and the title of the site is that the first thing you have to do when establishing a Wordpress site is to create a URL. 'Mainstream spanking' embodied my first thoughts about the subject matter, but it was only ever a working title (especially since there is another blog called 'Mainstream Spanking', albeit one that quickly became moribund). Then I thought of a title that hit exactly what I was trying to do with the site... Vanilla Spanking. But by then it was too late to change the URL without starting again from scratch. I imagine there may still be an advantage in having a URL containing a phrase that interested people might actually search for - but the actual title is Vanilla Spanking, so if anyone wants to link to it I'd strongly prefer that to be the title used.

I'm sorry to hear there's already a site on tumblr that's using the same title, and even sorrier to hear that it's a porn site, which seems to be a contradiction of the name!

Thank you Harry, for correcting my mistake about your site. I do love mainstream spanking and did want to thank you for all of them. I thought also that many would like to see Texas Jim's work as we had talked about him on occasion and I thought it was great that you did show some of his work. He started off with mostly f/f but then has gone the whole gambit and I am much more of a m/f or f/f otk fan so when I had computer problems I had to leave most of the yahoo groups that I belonged to. Seeing many of the ones you selected did bring back many fond memories of the site. Thanks again for your site and being a member of CSR as well. You have brought quite a lot of pleasure to otk fans everywhere. Have a great day.
