Very true. In modern times... (from the 1960s to the present) The Katie's little sundress is pretty much normal. But in eighteen-whatever year, women's underwear covered considerably more skin!

Well, this time-travel trip was an unexpected twist! I suppose we might have suspected from the earlier time-warp, but I didn't. Anyway, it was pretty funny with Katie getting spanked partly because of a mis-identification. Of course, that's exactly the kind of thing that would happen to Katie. And now that she's stuck in what looks like the 1870s, she had better mind her manners because the men of that period are not about to put up with the kind of behavior 21st century women often get away with .

I'll make only one prediction: when Katie finally does get back to her own time, it will just enough later than when she left it that she gets spanked again because she's now late for work!

That is a lead pipe certainty!

I hadn't heard that exact expression before, but there's a similar one around here: "F**k you and the horse you rode in on!"

At first, I thought you were talking about a Farquhar horse from Farquhar Stables. Apparently the Farquhars are expert racehorse breeders. I don't know much about horse racing or breeding horses to race myself.

I think Katie might have dressed a little more like Vanessa if she had known she was going back to the Old West.

A large part of my inspiration for O.T. Katie came from Dan's Spanky Sal. Spanky Sal was the first comic strip I ever saw in which the starring character, an adult woman, got spanked all the time. Sal was basically a good-hearted girl, who was occasionally slightly naughty, and never ever got away with any bad thing she did! There had been Humorama one-panel gags that featured cute women turned over the knees of their bosses, husbands, etc... but Spanky Sal was the first strip of its kind, as far as I know.

Katie's name and red hair were inspired by Katy McLintock, played by Maureen O'Hara. I was 10 years old when McLintock! was released, and the advertising campaign for that film centered around images of Maureen O'Hara dressed in a corset and pantaloons, turned over John Wayne's knee. That made a big impression on me when I was at an impressionable age.

The sci-fi elements such as time-travel and cloning come from a variety of sources, but I'd have to say that my favorite writer in that genre was Robert A. Heinlein. (He even threw in a few spanking references now and then!)

When I started drawing Katie, I didn't think I'd still be drawing her 20 years later, but when I ran out of ideas for quick three or four panel gags, I started doing longer stories.

I guess as long as I can still draw, and as long as there's a place to post my strips, Katie is going to keep getting spanked.

Katie doing time travel wonder how many other time lines she will cross this reminds me of the trouble I got into when I blog about the spanking on TV show Outlander where Jamie spank Claire I said Claire was a woman of the 1940`s and spanking of woman then was the norm so it shouldn`t be no surprise for her to be spank maybe Claire should have been a woman of today plus a feminist making that scene more exciting and fun to watch hope to see Katie spanked by a Caveman and a knight can`t wait!!!!

These days, a "knight" might not even be able to lift a gauntlet, much less use one in a fight. But if I do a story that has an old-fashioned armored knight, he might have to remove some of his armor do carry out a reasonable spanking. I wouldn't want Katie to get a broken hipbone!

Yeah! That's the kind of armor I'm thinking of. Movie makers like to dress King Arthur and the Knights of his Round Table in that stuff. More likely... Arthur... if he ever truly existed... would've used remnants of leather armor left behind by the Romans, along with some home-made leather pieces.

I think some of the knights in the really heavy armor did use draught horses. I guess what they lost in speed and maneuverability, they gained in protection... as long as their opponents weren't using guns.

If Katie... or anyone else time-traveled to King Arthur's reign, she'd probably have to learn an obsolete dialect of Welsh to communicate. Or maybe she could find someone who spoke Latin.

Or she could speak her usual language, Foul.
