You're most welcome, Butch, and you'll be glad to know I have more than enough models to get us through this summer at the usual rate of two per week. (There are a few models with so many photos they rate a whole week to themselves.)

Joanie Grant bears a resemblance to Doris Gohlke (I know I've got some photos of her on the board somewhere, I believe on this very thread), and she's certainly very attractive although I think Doris has the edge. No photo of Doris here because of the two-link limit, but you can look her up using the search box on the Home Page to save time. Offhand, I can't recall any other photos of Joanie in Humorama.

With her outstanding bosom, you'd have to expect that Joanne Latham would have had a successful modeling career, and she certainly did - in England at least. How she got into Humorama I don't know. I believe that when I researched her at the time I found this years ago, I learned she had been a popular "Page Three" girl, that is, a big busted model of the kind used in the British tabloids of the period to hold the interest of male readers with presumed short attention spans. Commentary or LeMonde (two publications that eschewed the use of photographs) they weren't.

Let's see now what captivated those readers back then that they were sure to read the mag at least to page three:

This was when minimalist swimwear, the thong bikini and "seatless" bathing suits were becoming more widely accepted, the time of Baywatch. These mags had some great rear view pics of suits like Ujena's Sheer G-String Bikini and Red Tonga. However, the word"tonga" meaning thong never caught on. Of course the original Brazilian string bikini was "tanga", Portuguese for string.

Glad you like it, Tanner! I remember one or two of those Ujena catalogues in the 90s also (so long ago now - sob! )

I forget now how many years I've been running the Humorama Models alongside Super-Spanking Summer, or even what the connection was in my mind - probably it was that so many of the models were wearing swimsuits (in later issues they wore nothing!) that it seemed appropriate for summer. The origin of the material is simple: as I searched each Humorama issue for spankings, spanking mentions, etc. I ran across some model photos that seemed interesting enough I scanned them for later use, and years later here we are.

As to my "summer stock," it stands at I believe 119 items of varying quality, but most of it is pretty good and I'm saving a few special models for later. That probably means we won't get through them all this year but maybe we will next summer. I also have more "Humorama Spanking Positions" and we'll have to another series of them eventually.

We've actually seen Joy Laine once before and I think it was on this thread, but I probably came upon this one at a later time so they got separated. This is from the June 1968 issue of Laugh Digest and features Joy's shapely and spankable derriere:



Judy O'Day was one of the better-known models of the mid-fifties, and I'm sure I've featured her somewhere else wearing black sheer panties that revealed what we're most interested in around here . That one was in fact from Humorama, but I later found three others and we'll see the first of them now:



I'm not sure where I dug this photo up and I suppose it doesn't matter; Judy's behind is completely bare leading gentlemen of a particular type to imagine spanking her.

Apart from her shapely bottom, Judy had two other qualities that served to improve her spankability: I believe she really did have red hair (B00m would approve) and she also had a decided "naughty girl" expression that makes me think anyone who spanked her would have been doing her a big favor as she probably needed it.

Let's see three more models now, all from the June 1971 issue of Laugh Digest. First up is Kellie Evers, rearranging her books and revealing her bare bottom.



Kelli is referred to as a "Gee-Whizzer" which makes us suspect this photo had appeared in an earlier issue of Gee-Whiz.

Next is a featured double-bill with Pam Stevens and Satria Pasha. I don't recall seeing Pam anywhere else, but Satria was surely in some other Humorama feature that I probably didn't save. (Sometimes I wish I'd scanned every issue, but since I must have owned more than 300 issues over the years that would have meant taking like 30,000 scans, and of course each one has to be edited. I do have complete scans of a few issues and of course a few scans from every issue that I used to sell them.)




Pam displays a nice bare bottom, but Satria's photographer was more concerned with her bosom based on what I remember from that other photo. She's included here since she's on this page I had to scan anyway because of Pam's pose, and she's a nice-looking if not-very-famous model.

We've seen Laya Raki once before, in Humorama Spanking Positions (#1 - no link because of the images here). This time, we get a peek at her bare bottom, and we're lucky she posed like this because she was an actress and might have refused. (Notice that there are no bare-bottomed photos of Kim Novak or Julie Newmar, for example. [Later update: I forgot that Julie did a brief nude swimming scene in McKenna's Gold, and I remember a still photo from that film in Playboy that did show a little of her backside.]) I remember seeing her in an episode of I, Spy in which she played an undercover Hong Kong policewoman - odd casting because her accent was definitely more German than Chinese, but her makeup and acting were good enough to carry off the role.
