You know, B00m, the little trap you set for Katie here reminds me of a scene from the famous World War II movie The Great Escape. Gordon Jackson has been coaching the men on basic German so they can get through a perfunctory interrogation by the Gestapo after they escape from Luft Stalag 3. He teaches them how to answer certain obvious questions in German, then trips up one of the men by asking a question in English. The man answers back in English, betraying his identity as a British officer. Ironically, after the escape, he falls for the same ruse himself, and he and Richard Attenborough get captured despite their excellent command of the German language.

So it's the hairbrush again for poor Katie, although the situation is much more humorous than it was in The Great Escape and I'm sure everyone else laughed just as I did.

I saw that movie when it first came to television, back in the '60s. I remember that scene. The German officer said, "Thank you," in English, and Gordon Jackson replied, "You're welcome."

"I won't say that word."
"What word?"

Yeah. Same type of dirty trick.
