You're right, WillJohn. She had other things on her mind. Like, how is she going to get home with that heavy pot o' gold. And how is she going to evade anyone else who might want to spank her.

Of course we're talking about birthday spankings on this thread, and counting is sort of a necessity to ensure Katie gets the correct number of spanks. More generally, opinions differ when it comes to counting - some spankos (Tops and Bottoms) love it and some hate it. I met a spankee at a party once who hated counting, and I was a nice guy about it - I only made her count the last ten swats ! Another spankee, receiving swats from my platform tennis paddle, really loved being made to count - for her, it was a key part of the experience. Also, some Tops like to count rather than making the spankee do the counting, and it is kind of fun to rub in the "sentence" you're imposing on the spankee by counting off the swats as they warm her behind. The "bottom" line: counting is a very individual thing like any other aspect of adult spanking.

Now back to our story: like everyone else (except probably Katie), I was gladdened by Haigh's appearance in it and by seeing Katie get yet another spanking (no one around here ever seems to cry when that happens ). I'm sure B00m has the plot for the next episode already in mind, which is good because I can't really come up with any great ideas for Katie's next spanking. Could she get in trouble with a conveniently passing-by IRS Agent for her unexplained pot of gold? (I can't remember if we've seen a plot development like that before). She's already in trouble with Bullmoose, so we can't really have her getting into even more trouble for being late coming home (having been delayed by Haigh's spanking). Could she accidentally tear her dress and have to wear Haigh's "Spank me, I'm Irish" T-shirt - with predictable consequences?

Oh well - I'm sure B00m will come up with something.

Maybe it's a regional thing. Where I live, it has always been the spanker's job to count the swats out loud... and sometimes the audience too, if there is an audience.

One advantage of the spanker doing the counting is that there's the potential of "losing count" and going back to a lower number ... or even having to start over!

Nice of you to say. I've always hoped that Katie's fans would like Haigh. To me there is an added comic element seeing someone so much smaller than her pull her across his lap with such ease. And Katie, being an American of Irish ancestry, of course believes in leprechauns.

I do have something prepared for the next episode. Sadly, I'll have to conclude the O.T. Katie 45th Birthday/20th Anniversary Spanking Extravaganza eventually. But, the good news is I have some stories in progress for events that occur shortly after Katie's 45th birthday.

I don't have one about the I.R.S. in the works currently, but that's a possibility. I did a story in the past with Katie getting into trouble over taxes and leprechaun gold. And I renamed the I.R. S. the Government Revenue Enhancement Enforcement Division. Because of the Anti-Irish Act of 1848, leprechaun gold was taxed at 150%. She could turn over all the gold to the government, and still owe for half the value of the gold.
