Because I have so much super-heroine material stocked up, to keep it simple this year (necessary for reasons I explained last week) I plan to take us through August with only two mini-series, the first on Lara Croft and the second on Harley Quinn. While greater variety would have its advantages, I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing either of these young women getting spanked - Lara because she needs to be taken down a peg, and Harley because she's a bad girl who joined the Joker's mob and needs repeated punishment.

First up is Lara's rear end as Lara gets paddled by her old college chum Amanda Evert - shades of sorority days !

This week's example reminds us of the biggest problem we have with SSS - so many independent artists seem to favor the F/F orientation above all others. That has always seemed to me a sign of passivity or worse among the male artists - if I could draw, it would be 99% M/F and 1% F/F - but there it is, and we have to deal with it. I try to choose F/F drawings that are either well-drawn or erotic - or both. The Amanda/Lara paddling is reasonably well done with Poser, while Lara's positioning with high heels and a nice wide stance is definitely hot!

But never fear: while most of the Tombraider stuff is F/F, Harley gets spanked by pretty much everyone including the male members of the "Batman Family".

Next week: Lara raids the wrong tomb and gets spanked by a goddess with three right hands - ouch!

Super-Spanking Summer continues with the second in a Lara Croft mini-series in which Lara gets spanked by the six-armed goddess Kali.

Not much needs to be said about this week's update - it's a decently-composed spanking featuring one of the more needy spankees out there (i.e. she really needs a spanking!) - Lara Croft!

I would like to mention the source - Deviant Art - as a way to lead in to a short update on how the various spanking searches are going. I'm sure that over the past decade I've taken more spankings from DA than from AnimeOTK, say, despite the latter focusing almost exclusively on spankings whereas DA features a whole range of deviant sexuality plus a few other things. How could that be? Well, DA is enormous, and I would say the caliber of its art is higher, probably because it has so many professional and semi-pro artists contributing to it.

That brings us to the searches generally. Now because I have such a backlog of material, further searches are really unnecessary at the moment from the standpoint of discovering new spankings. I do keep up with Humorama, difficult as it is now, because I want us all to live long enough to have all its "spankers" documented. But there is another reason to keep up with the Golden Age comics search, disappointing as it's' been for the last couple of years, and that is I want to avoid having a back log of so many hundreds of issues that I have to keep backing up even as they eat up space on my hard drive. I'm probably slowly falling behind at the moment, and nothing is turning up as I need to get through hundreds of western comics.

Other sources are more difficult to search these days as well. One of them offers no way to show NSFW images as thumbnails, while the old-fashioned search engine query now turns up dozens or hundreds of items already posted.

Although I'm not a fan of F/F art, I still find this one fascinating. Kali with her six arms as a spanker? Hmmmm! (I wonder if a devout Hindu might find such a depiction of one of their major goddesses to be blasphemous?) It makes me wonder about those multi-armed guys on Edgar Rice Burrows's Mars! Oh boy, Wolfie, I am sorry about this . The style was a dead giveaway and didn't match anything Dakota had done, but the picture had her name embedded in the file name and it was probably from that I found her other art on DA. Where it came from I really can't say - probably not DeviantArt after all. Somebody must have removed your wolfprint signature and posted it on some porn site. I will fix the page tonight to reflect the proper credit.

Sorry to see that Delightful Discipline is gone. If it's something you'd like to bring back under the auspices of CSR, it's something we can talk about although I don't know how much recoding of the original pages would be required. I really have no time for major projects right now and can barely handle one update per week, but I do have plenty of space and even extra data bases for expansion.

Butch beat me to the weekly update as I couldn't get to posting here when I did them a couple of hours ago. This week we have the first of two different drawings of Lara Croft spanking Xena the Warrior Princess. It's a good pairing, although as Butch observes we didn't think Lara was that strong, and it's hard to believe that in a rasslin' match with Xena it would be Xena who wound up OTK.

No time for anything else this week except to say it looks like I've finally nailed down a physical copy of a Golden Age Timely comic-book with a spanking in it that I've been looking for for two years. Needless to say, I'll have no time to post it anytime in the near future , but at least it can now go into the files.

Next week: Lara spanks Xena again (I wanted to post them both this week as a set but just couldn't get to it). And in two weeks we'll finally have Lara spanked by a guy, which is good even though I haven't been able to identify who he is.

When I go to the page with the weekly updates I got some other strange stuff, may have been what Butch referred to. Came here to get the update.
Always on look out for artwork with the mighty Xena getting her bottom tanned, and this is good although have to say IMO that they don't look all that much like Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor. Somehow Xena has not inspired all the spanking portrayals that Wonder Woman has, too bad.
When she made her appearance on Hercules as a villain, who reformed after her followers turned on her and badly beat her up in a gauntlet, have to think how much better if the gauntlet had involved her getting her bottom spanked by multiple palms.
Of course on Hercules(don't think she appeared on Xena) was the character Atalanta, played by bodybuilder Cory Everson, was the prime candidate for a spanking,
Not only did she fit the "tough chick" category, it was her costume. She was totally barebutted, google it if you've not seen. the show. Now. that would be a piece of artwork I'd dearly love to see, Atalanta getting spanked. Come to think of it, who better for a "tough chick" needing a spanking than a female bodybuilder.

Thanks as always for your entertaining suggestions, B00m! A Hercules/Xena pairing would indeed be nice, and seems perfectly natural, like He-Man/She-Ra (of course that one would be brother/sister also - wish I had enough material to do a special on that theme).

O.K., I think I've finally got all the problems resolved :

1. Credits are fixed for "Kali Spanks Lara" and links to Wolfie on DA have been added to that page and the CSR Links Page. We do have room for her here on CSR if she ever needs it, and CSR readers who haven't seen her work are encouraged to follow the links.

   Thanks, Tanner, that was the clue I needed. The problem was a coding error on the Home Page - embarrassing but simple to fix.
   
   As I think everyone knows, links to the weekly updates are usually found both here on this topic and on the Home Page, with the latter being necessary since the number of links there is unlimited as opposed to two per post here on the board. Also, I list the previous four updates on the Home Page as well. The current update gets two links (if more than one update in a week, one of them gets the second link), one near the top as a hyperlinked thumbnail image and the other further down as hyperlinked text. These are coded separately and are supposed to be tested separately. Mistakes are, I'm afraid, common since the smallest typo results in a failed link and the problem Butch described, so testing is essential. I must have tested one and forgotten about the other .

   That's true, Tanner, and I'm not sure why. WW does have the advantage of being associated with bondage and spanking practically from her beginnings (see, e.g. Wonder Woman #2!).

Gabrielle does get a slap on her butt from Joxer in an episode called Married With Fishsticks though she is in mermaid form. Pretty good slap though.
The comment about Xena walking her horse calls to mind the scene in the Gene Autry movie The Singing Hills where the girl is using a pillow in the saddle after her spanking mentioned in my other recent post in Miscellaneous Spankings.Maybe show Xena doing that. Oh how amusing that would be the mighty warrior princess having to sit on a pillow because she got spanked!
