Tragedy has struck again, and I find myself completely exhausted and unable to do much other than struggle with an HVAC problem that occurred at the same time. The new pages are in fact already coded but I'm simply not up to performing the relatively simple tasks of updating the Home Page and then uploading everything to the site.

I know that HugoB00m has been hard at work the past several weeks, so CSR readers should head over to his gallery to see the latest O. T. Katie misadventure. As for the main site, by this time next week I should be able to return to CSR. I'm not going to try to make up for lost time; we'll simply run a week behind with next week featuring the Humorama Series plus Obo's girls in bikinis spanking one of their own, and then in two weeks we'll begin Super Spanking Summer.

Thanks for the plug! Yes, I have been busy posting some new O.T. Katie stuff. The latest story involves Katie finding a magic trunk among her great-grandmother's belongs, and running into some trouble with a representative of the local magicians' union. And, in the coming weeks, I'll be celebrating Katie's 45th birthday, which will also be the 20th anniversary of the first O.T. Katie strip I ever posted.

This week's updates:

• To further help us get into the mood for summer, Obo sent us this delightful depiction of three girls in bikinis at the beach in which two of them spank the third.
• Then The Humorama Series continues with An Old Whaling Captain

As I mentioned last week, due to my many problems we're running one week "behind," but I think the quality of this week's updates makes up for their tardy appearance: Obo's commission of the Bikini Girls Spanking was beautifully rendered by artist Frans Mensink (his first work to be featured on CSR), and as we've seem almost all the Humorama Spanking Cartoons, the debut of each of the ones remaining that was drawn by one of the Big Six (Ward, Wenzel, Stiles, DeCarlo, Homer, and Morrice) is an event worth celebrating, and Morrice's "An Old Whaling Captain" is a fine example of the genre.

Next Week: We kick off Super-Spanking-Summer with Doctor Cylon's "Black Widow, Red Bottom," and we continue it with more of B.W. as Black Widow spanks (a female) Captain Marvel .

After that, I've got things pretty well planned out for the rest of June - we'll focus on Marvel's superheroines for a while, including a short series on Sue Storm (The Invisible Girl). After that we'll see - I've got a ton of stuff with Harley Quinn so we really should try to whittle it down a bit.

As I mentioned last week, we're a week "behind" where we should be with Super-Spanking Summer, and right now I don't know whether that means I'll want to extend it past Labor Day - we'll have to see. We're going to be seeing a lot of Marvel Super-Heroines for awhile, stretching a point by including Mary Marvel (published by Fawcett and then DC but not Marvel), but eventually we'll have to start a series with Harley Quinn because I've got so much material featuring her.

B00m mentioned in his comments on Obo's Bikini Girls Spanking (last week) that he prefers M/F, and that is certainly the preference of most of us CSR regulars. But with Super-Spanking Summer, we once again run into the problem of so many artists not sharing that preference. Why so many of them seem to prefer F/F, even to the point of excluding all other orientations, remains a mystery to me because it's not something easily understandable (like all the artists being lesbians or something). Nonetheless, I'll strive to keep a balance between F/F and M/F this summer, helped somewhat by the fact that Doctor Cylon's stuff is M/F by implication when you think about it - the spanker is most often absent but you always picture a male in that role.

I recently discovered another early spanking cartoon by Bill Wenzel, and I will present it eventually under the Rivals of Humorama banner since it was from a Harvey publication. I should give everyone some kind of update on the Golden Age Search, but I'm not sure when so for now I'll just mention that it's still going on and a few items have turned up but not anything that great (unless I'm forgetting something, which right now is certainly possible). But whatever I've found awaits us secure in the official CSR Files .

Next Week: Super-Spanking Summer continues, and when the wind blows Mary Marvel's skirt up, Doctor Cylon does the rest! And then we begin a Sue Storm mini-series with a bongo-style drumming by The Black Panther (see - I promised we'd have some M/F stuff!).

Black Widow has a truly unmissable bum. A smack from a yard away could not miss it.

One explanation might be that some artists just prefer to draw women, so they put them in the role of the spanker and the spankee. That would be the only explanation I could think of... other than the lesbian one.

My plan for Super-Spanking Summer is to have two updates per week, which is the minimum I'd like to see anyway and which is needed if we're ever going to get through all the superheroine and supervillainess material I've amassed over the past few years. I'm focusing on Marvel right now (stretching a point with Mary Marvel this week) and in particular Ms. Marvel and Sue Storm. Marvel Girl (Jean Grey, later Phoenix) will have to wait until the next X-Men mini-series, whenever that is.

I think I'd forgotten about some of the Ms. Marvel stuff in the files, but as I've mentioned previously I really like seeing her spanked and will post whatever else I have with her in the next couple of weeks. As for Sue Storm, she makes a good spankee but one that is often overlooked, possibly because the Fantastic Four has pretty much dropped out of sight after having started out as the most significant of Marvel's Silver Age superhero titles in 1961 (now sixty years ago - sob! ) and going on to have three movies made featuring the characters, if I've got that right. There are probably younger comics fans around who don't even know about the FF. Anyway, I've got three more Sue Spankings after this week's, although the third (by Red She-Hulk of all possible spankers) comes up a little short.

My FTP application tells me that HugB00m's been busy again, posting nine more picture files, so head on over to his gallery to see what they are. I'll join you when I can (have to run now - rats!).

The nice thing about Doc's aftermath pictures is that the viewer can imagine anyone as the unseen spanker. In these, I can picture multiple butt-slaps instead of an actual spanking... and the man vanishes into the crowd, leaving Mary to wonder who just did that!

Thanks for the plug. I have been busy. My current story involves Katie dabbling in sorcery and receiving the consequences. Soon, I'm planning to do The O.T. There's a consistent quality to Doctor Cylon's work that helps us out enormously - the only thing I have to worry about is that the original drawing he bases his work on could have some pornographic or otherwise unsuitable characteristic (there's a lot of Julius Zimmerman material with explicit sexual acts that I reluctantly have to put in the "Unusable" folder for that reason) - and I plan to continue featuring his colorizations and animations each week through Super-Spanking Summer. This week we have Ms. Marvel again, one of my favorite spankees, and although the drawing's context isn't clear her red bottom couldn't be plainer!

The Dr. Doom/Sue Storm spanking utilizes a rather obvious pairing that for some strange reason I haven't seen before. I speculated last week that the Fantastic Four may by now be too obscure for young spanking artists to draw upon for material, although that doesn't explain why there wasn't anything like it 20 years ago either. The artwork is decent but the artist unknown.

I'm not sure what the original intent of the picture was... although I have my suspicions... but the lady was drawn with a nicely curvy bottom, and the Doc did a great job of adding some red color.

The artist put an attractive curve to Sue Storm's bottom, and provides a wonderful target for a spanking. However, I think Dr Doom should take his metal glove off and apply his hand to said target.

The opening page had what looked like a strip of gaffer tape over Mary's Holey of holies. It was removed prior to the paddle. Prudery?

Yes I believe so, Willjohn, although it wasn't by me and I doubt very much it was by Doctor Cylon since I have never seen him alter an original drawing in that way. In fact as I mentioned, I have a problem sometimes with Doc's original source material being a bit too explicit. Julius Zimmerman, for example, not only featured "exposure" as I have called it on this forum for about ten years now, but he also has explicit sexual acts. Now sometimes I can excise these without too much trouble (the one with Miss Buxley comes to mind - Beetle Bailey was "saluting" in a most unconventional manner), but in other cases there's simply no way to do it (I recall one with R2D2 doing something to Princess Leia that can only be described as (1) X-rated, and (2) very surprising in that I would never have thought to construct an android with that particular capability. [Next morning postscript: after getting some sleep and looking at an enlarged version, it appears to me that "gaffer tape" you're talking about in the first of the two versions is a combination of somebody's pixilation-censorship plus Doc Cylon's pink colorization. His aging eyes have been giving him trouble for some time now, and he probably didn't realize the color had spilled over into the pixilated region. I didn't see that myself until just now, but then, my eyesight isn't that great, either. End P.S.]

By coincidence, I ran into the same problem this week - but this time an explicit sexual act I hadn't noticed(!) - and will have more to say about it with the 07/02 Updates.

As for the Zimmerman/Cylon material, they have so many fans that I hope to make this often-funny but always-pornographic and sometimes-disgusting material available to CSR's faithful readers someday, probably in a zipped-up (how appropriate ) folder with a temporary link. Needless to say, such a project will have to wait for a very long time, probably at least until I've posted all the other Zimmerman/Cylon material in the file - and there's still quite a bit of it.

In my post just above I discussed the matter of censoring the art that appears on CSR (the relevant case being Ms. Marvel last week, which someone other than myself was responsible for), something I really hate to do. And yet I did it myself this week! Now most of the time I avoid the problems of explicit sex and gratuitous "exposure" by simply not posting such works, and sometimes in the latter case I simply let it slide (i.e where there's nudity but no explicit sexual acts), but this time I had already coded the page with She-Hulk's spanked green bottom as enhanced by Doc Cylon when I noticed something going on in the background that was a definite no-no. Now this "background" took the form of faint drawings behind the main one - I'm not sure if there's a technical term for this in modern art - and while I left in a topless shot of She-Hulk, I put in a purple rectangle (how subtle! ) over something else. Censoring anything goes against the grain for me, but that's why I did it. And I'll try to avoid getting myself into too many similar situations in the future.

This week's other update is Red She-Hulk spanking Sue Storm, which is thankfully quite inocuous, and I even managed to keep my explanation of who Red She-Hulk is reasonably short.

Two other pages were reloaded this week: first, Vampirella Spanks Batgirl #2 (no link because of the two-link limit), in which the true artist was identified by Hauke as Mark Spears (no new picture files), and second, something I thought I'd done back on 05/22:

While finally trying to look through the mail this week, I made a peculiar discovery. There was some 2020 correspondence from Pewdiepie regarding Veronica [Spanks] Betty #2, and when I checked, it looked like I began coding an update to the page but never finished! I barely even remembered anything about it. That's bad - the result of overwork and stress plus lack of time - but it's fixed up now. The issue was trying to find out where this one-whacker came from, and Pewdie did that, so the page is now updated accordingly (and I better update the Data Base before I forget). No new spanking scans, but anyone interested can follow the link to see just where Archie Comics printed this spanking, at least for the second time.

Somehow, this page was never uploaded (or perhaps I put in in the wrong directory), and when I finally got back to the mail this week I stumbled over Pewdie's email again and discovered the oversight, which has now been finally corrected. There is a picture update here, but it's only the cover of the digest and doesn't have any new spankings. I regret the error, which went undiscovered because it was shortly after this that I was completely unable to function at all for a time.

There's more to talk about it, but this post is already too long and it's after midnight, so it will have to wait.
