O.K., I've finally managed to get out of "crisis mode" long enough to catch up on the story, and so far things are going splendidly! (For us, that is - Katie seems to be headed for more spanking-style trouble, but she should be used to that by now).

I suspected something was amiss when it appeared that no one wanted to spank Katie on her birthday, and sure enough, it was only a dream. Katie's disappointment (in her dream) at not being the object of spanking desires sure didn't last long, and it's a safe bet she'll wind up OTK again very soon. Making her bend over to pick up the banana peel left by her futuristic self was a nice touch, reminiscent of a Benny Hill sight gag. (Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure slipping on a banana peel is a gag straight out of Vaudeville, as Benny himself often was.) I imagine most CSR readers agree that Katie is not too old to spank just yet, and I'm really looking forward to the continuation of the story.

I want to do everything I can to encourage our readers to follow this thread. Let's see - Katie's big day is Aug. 5, and presumably B00m will have another installment ready on or close to that date. CSR's closest regular update will be the next day, Aug. 6, so I'll feature "Katie's 45th Birthday" on the Home Page and try to drive some traffic over here.

It has also been scientifically proven that slipping over if you step on a banana skin does not happen, but that only spoils a joke.

It's good to be out of crisis mode. Even a temporary reprieve is welcome. And I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

Katie has some mixed feelings about being spanked at this point in her life. The many punishment spankings she receives (sometimes justly, mostly not) are something she has become accustomed to... although she still protests and struggles... but it's all part of the game. She doesn't want to be conceited, and so she rarely even considers that the guys have ulterior motives for wanting to spank her... but occasionally, she has to suspect. With Bullmoose, she often experiences the pleasant after-effect of being spanked, and I don't think she's ready to give that up.

The banana peel gag and the pretty girl bending over have been mainstays of slapstick comedy for a long time. I don't know how long, but I know they pre-date Benny Hill... who was a master of making old gags seem fresh and entertaining.

I appreciate anything you can do to call attention to Katie's spanking adventures. The story is finished and I've divided it into segments of 8-12 panels. I'm planning, if all things go well, to post a chapter each week leading up to Aug, 5, and a bit past.

It should not be long before Katie arrives at the office of SPANK, unless one or more of her old "playmates" meet her on the way and want to wish her a happy birthday.
