Katie's birthday! Yaaaaay!

Can anyone defeat the armor-plated girdle?

Hmmm... I was just thinking... I haven't used the nerd character in any other Katie stories... except that he's standing in line in the office birthday story. Maybe I need to bring him back sometime. he certainly saved the day in this story!

No objections. In fact, there are a lot of them that I no longet have. You might wind up posting one that I thought was lost and gone forever.

If you have the first leprechaun story I did... the one where he thinks she's chasing him for his pot of gold, but she's really trying to return a single coin that dropped from his pocket... I would appreciate it if you'd post that.

For anyone who's interested in the history of O.T. Katie, I'll try to summarize as briefly as I can.

Back in 2001, there was a Yahoo group that included Dan, Endart, and from time to time, the Spirit. Each of the artist members of the group contributed some wonderful examples of their craft. At that time, I came up with what I thought was a brilliant name for the title character of a spanking-oriented comic strip. I'm surprised no one else beat me to that name!

Even though I carefully avoided ripping off any of Dan's specific story lines, I did use the same basic concept as his Spanky Sal strip. Sal and Katie are both grown women who live on their own and support themselves with responsible jobs. In spite of that, both women frequently encounter male authority figures who treat them like children, including...of course... spanking them when they "misbehave"! And both women, in spite of being quite intelligent in other matters, are hopelessly naive with regards to any non-discplinary motives the men might possibly have for flipping them bottom-side-up and raising their skirts!

Other sources of inspiration included the other Dan... Dan Decarlo. I've always enjoyed the look of wide-eyed innocence on his spankees' faces, and the lace-trimmed panties they usually wore.

And then there's Katy McLintock. My Katie's red hair and her penchant for sarcasm are an homage to Maureen O'Hara's superb portrayal of (in my opinion) the most wonderfully spankable lady to ever grace the silver screen.

Last but not least is Lucy Riccardo. I "borrowed" a couple of Katie's traits from that character: her persistant tardiness and her desire to be in show business in spite of having a terrible singing voice.

After the Yahoo group went away, I continued to draw some O.T. Katie comics, but didn't really have a suitable place to display them. A couple of years ago, I got an invitation to join "Artastic", and some of my more recent ones are there. However, I think this is a much more suitable venue for a nice Midwestern girl like Katie. Do you agree?

I certainly agree, Boom, and I'll bet the other readers of these CSR Forums do as well! It was probably on Artastic that I first became acquainted with O.T. Katie, and I did not know the story of how you came to create her, so this was a welcome revelation.

I certainly do agree that the CSR forum is a great place for your "O.T. Katie" toons! Let the good times roll!

Alas, I no longer have access to most of your old Katie toons. No, I do not have the leprechaun episode, nor the follow-up to that one, where the leperchaun returns to thank her for keeping his secret, yet our favorite redhead blabs it out anyway, and receives a spanking from the little Irish guy. These toons were great, but our computers can only store so much material, so....

I do have the second and third segments of "Katie's cold day." That would be the time she is out in the snow, and one of her errant snowballs accidentally hits a cop. In the final panel, she pays for it with a spanking from said cop... but she rejoices anyway, because now her "po-po" (as she calls it) is no longer cold!

i saw the leprecaun episode recently somewhere and i cannot remember where. i like her otk and i think i saw her animated somewhere getting a spanking as well. I loved the storylines and all of her adventures otk. Thanks for sharing them here at CSR.
