Liberty Magazine - I had to crop this one down in order to eliminate a scene of male "collateral damage". Possible source is Andre although I forget where I found this particular example of a college age girl receiving a spanking or more specifically a switching.

A publicity photo for the movie
College Humor as published in the Harrisburg [PA] Telegraph on
July 28, 1933. The backstory is that the editor of this Harrisburg newspaper received complaints from his readers when it turned out that the movie didn't actually include a spanking.

No! There is no spanking scene in the 1933 movie
College Humor and evidently the editor of the Harrisburg, PA Telegraph, who printed the photo and claimed it was a scene in the movie, heard about it from a dozen or more of his readers! All these years later we certainly share their disappointment.
