I have a quick one-panel gag... partly inspired by the opening line of a Gershwin song, "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off":

"I say 'to-MAY-to' and you say 'to-MAH-to'...

And there was a video I saw in which a pretty Welsh girl, after being soundly spanked, complained that her bottom looked like a ripe "to-MAH-to". (And it did!     )

Bullmoose, here in the U.S. pronounces that word "to-MAY-to".

And Katie, although she is not English, nor a queen... is not amused!

Point of interest. People who knew Queen Victoria rubbished the idea that she was never amused. She is reported to have had a cheeky sense of humour but knew when not to laugh.

She was even known to pilfer small things from houses she visited. Her escorts would make a note of what she stole and where she stole it from. The victims would have their goods returned with a letter of apology from Buckingham Palace.

I was just making a joke about her famous quote. My wife and I have a saying around the house. When we find something especially amusing we say, "Well now, I'm not the queen of England!"

I don't know what the context was of Queen Victoria's remark, or what it was that she didn't find amusing at the time.

As for Katie, apparently she isn't amused about having her freshly-spanked bum compared to a tomato. I think it's hilarious!

A common expression in Commonwealth countries when a woman did not appreciate a joke was "Queen Victoria was not amused."

The heavy clothing and crown she wore probably caused her discomfort. She was a naturally small woman who gained a lot of weight after having nine children in a fairly short time.
