That's a good question. I don't have an answer, but there have been plenty of stories throughout history about women who have gotten themselves into a lot of trouble being curious.

Comparatively, Lizzie got off easier than Bluebeard's wives.

Yeah. I don't know why he killed the first one, but after that, each new wife got killed when she snooped around and found the body of a previous one. The very last wife got rescued.

Probably not - and B00m deftly exploits that trait to put Lizzie in a situation where she earns a nice hairbrush spanking. Although closer in structure to I Love Lucy, the sitcom I'm most reminded of by this installment of "Dizzie Lizzie" is the old Dick Van Dyke Show, specifically the episode in which Laura cannot resist opening a package that was sent to Rob. She was certainly very embarrassed by the end of the show, and how satisfying it would have been if Mary Tyler Moore had draped herself over Dick Van Dyke's knee to take a well-deserved spanking, but of course it didn't happen that way. (MTM did get spanked in a different episode, My Two Showoffs, which I posted back in 2014, but alas without the OTK position.)

Anyway, lots of hearty laughs here as Jolly Old St. Nick does not only his own job but discharges some of Krampus's duties as well, applying the hairbrush where it does the most good - a fine holiday treat!

Your reference to "My Two Showoffs" reminded me that comedian Dick Van Dyke is still going at 98 years of age. I am pretty sure the rest of the adult cast of the Dick Van Dyke Show is now dead.

You're right that much of my inspiration for "Dizzie Lizzie" came from I Love Lucy, especially the fact that Lucy got turned over her husband's knee more than once during the run of the show. But Laura Petrie had such a lovely target that it's a shame the closest she ever got to being spanked was three swats with a rolled-up magazine while she ran and hopped to get away. Mary Tyler Moore was a beautiful and talented actress. and the character she played was moore than a little naughty!

I haven't done a Krampus story yet... but maybe I don't need to. As you said, Santa is doing fine handling the chore of spanking naughty girls.

Next time I post, I'll be returning to the present, with a Christmas-time spanking for Katie. What did she do this time to deserve a spanking from Santa? Does anyone really care whether she did anything to deserve a spanking? You'll find out soon.

As a teenager, Rob Reiner spent a lot of time with his father on the set of the Dick Van Dyke Show. He must have learned a lot about show business from being around such a talented cast.

The Dick Van Dyke show put together a stellar cast of comedians. Rob Reiner would have learned from time spent with his father on the set.
