Here's an encyclopedia, but not the kind that used to be sold door-to-door! This is the sort of book that would be sold in adult bookstores, and may date from the 1960's. Supposedly it contains "various techniques" and "over 60 actual photos" - we'd sure like to see them! In fact, we'd also like to see Volume 1 (this is Volume 2). We don't know whether the publisher was really dedicated to spanking, or (more likely) was trying to dodge any possible obscenity prosecution by pretending this work had serious scholarly value, but either way spanking material from that era is hard to come by and certainly worth a look.
These kinds of books invariably featured cover art to help sell them. Here we have fairly good OTK positioning together with a somewhat too-long paddle (for OTK use that is), and overall we'd say this drawing compares favorably with those we remember from the 1980's.
