Doctor Cylon's Favorite Zimmerman Piece

Doctor Cylon recently provided us with a number of examples of his work. Let's start with his retouching of this drawing by Julius Zimmerman, itself based on Al Capp's long-running strip Li'l Abner. For more on this strip, see our discussion and examples here .

As we mentioned there, Daisy Mae did receive several spankings, but they were portrayed in a matter-of-fact way, since to Al Capp, who was not into the spanking scene, that's what they were - matter-of-fact. This one is different, delivered on the bare bottom to sizzling effect, as we're sure Daisy Mae would agree!

01/05/2018 Update: This was actually the first item we posted in the new "Doctor Cylon Gallery" back in 2009. We didn't know at the time that it was the good Doctor's favorite base material, not just among the many drawings by Julius Zimmerman that he has colorized but his overall favorite from among all the drawings he's colorized and/or enhanced over the years. It's obviously got a lot to recommend it: the spankee is Daisy Mae, and Zimmerman endowed her with a highly-spankable rear end.

This was labeled as "2".

Psychedelic.

And speaking of psychedelic, it looks like the 1960's are back like a bad acid trip - heavy, man! What inspired these three versions we can't say.

Doctor Cylon's coloring again.

This version was colored by Doc Cylon but is marked "enhanced by a friend". Since it appears to be identical to the preceding version, we think it's a case of "me, myself, and I".

This colorization is marked "092209" and we suspect that was the date it was finished.

This one is simply marked as "b".

Used as a birthday gag.

Labeled "colourized by an anonymous fellow" but we suspect we know the 'anonymous fellow's' identity. We also like the "Have a lousy day" antidote to an overdose of smiley faces. Little touches like this are a Doc Cylon trademark.

This one was marked as Doctor Cylon's favorite, but we believe that refers to the base drawing and do not know if this is actually his favorite version of it.

This is an odd Spanish version with Abner and Daisy replaced by Carlos and Consuela. We have no idea what inspired this one.

Same birthday gag but different coloring, named "Phase II".

And here is what we believe to be the last colorization of "Tanning" by the good Doctor. We think this one may have been completed in 2017 - truly "the end of an era"!
