We resume our Scooby-Doo mini-series with an unusual interpretation of Daphne and
Velma by artist Jeff Van Schkijaar. We've seen some of Van Schkijaar's superheroine
work - no spankings, alas - and he has a distinctive style that he does not subordinate to
that used in the characters' original medium. Velma and Daphne are clearly recognizable,
however, although we don't know what the exact situation is here. Something seems to have
literally scared the pants off our heroines, and of course that's all the introduction
Doctor Cylon needs. He did three variations on Van Schkijaar's original, to which the
closest thing we could find was the one at top left below. Our favorite is the last of the
three, the only one to which the good Doctor affixed his logo.
