At first we thought this was another drawing of the popular Princess Peach, but the file
name had "Dragon's Lair" in it and when we investigated, we found there was a video game of the
same name. It turned out that just as Peach is a princess from Super Mario Bros., so
Dragon's Lair has its own royalty in the person of Princess Daphne. Daphne is no imitation of
Peach as her origin was three years earlier in the first
Dragon's Lair, and it's Daphne's derriere that caught Doctor Cylon's attention here.
Once the Good Doctor was finished with it, it was even harder to tell the two princesses apart.
The artist is Scott Dalrymple, making his first appearance on CSR. He seems to
have been around since 2011 (this work dates from 2018) drawing mainly superheroine stuff,
so why haven't we seen him
before? Well for one thing, Doctor Cylon did a lot of his embellishments before then, say
from 2008-2010, and in fact we're still posting his work from that period today!
(Neither Doc himself nor we have ever had his work organized chronologically, but we have
labored long to categorize it in our files by subject matter). The other major factor
is that while Dalrymple draws well-proportioned figures, he doesn't emphasize the buttocks
as some other artists do, and very rarely produces a bare derriere such as we see here.
