Whatever the intended gag was here, we don't get it: why would Colonel Harland Sanders (1890 - 1980) be spanking a bad girl prisoner? And with a chicken drumstick, yet? (Yuchhh!) Although come to think of it, probably the biggest problem with Joe Gravel is the somewhat greasy appearance of his figures. But it's hard to see Colonel Sanders, who did hold many jobs including a stint practicing law before founding Kentucky Fried Chicken, as a prison warden.

But if he had been a warden, he would have had to maintain discipline among the female prisoners, and of course the best way to do that is to dish out the occasional spanking! We're sure the red-headed rascal over his knee here is well deserving of such treatment. Doctor Cylon sent us both Gravel's original version and his own embellished one featuring well-placed red coloring. We think it's one of Gravel's better spanking drawings if you forget about the chicken leg and imagine a hairbrush in its place.
