You're right about that. About Jack leaving Sydney, I haven't decided yet where the two of them might live as a couple. If they go to The U.S. now, we're in the coldest part of our winter. (although this year has been pretty mild. 14 degrees Fahrenheit for our coldest day. I think that would be -10 Celsius.) But, as you say, Kaylyn won't be freezing her bum as long as she has Jack!

Yeah. He can buy another Laroque hairbrush from the BlahMart, or maybe he'll find a nice ironbark paddle while they're still in Australia!

In my part of Sydney it expected to get to 30 degrees Celsius today, which is about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I had a hell of a time trying to sleep last night with the humidity. January in the Southern hemisphere is like July in the Northern hemisphere. Sydney is about the same latitude south as Charlotte, NC is North.

I have never experienced weather as cold as what you just described.

In my little part of the U.S. we might have those kind of temperatures in July. (Maybe even a little higher some years)

Actually, that's mild for us. A cold winter might go as low as -15 Fahrenheit (about -23 Celsius) I think Web-ed has probably experienced colder winters than I have. Illinois is a little farther north, and quite a bit closer to the Great Lakes.

I'll just say one more thing about the weather where I live. Kansas is located directly between the Canadian border and the Mexican border. Kansas itself is notoriously flat and so is the land directly to the north and to the south. So we get Mexican heat in the summer and Canadian cold in the winter.

it has been hotter than that of late. We had some days in the last six weeks where the temperature got over 40C (104 F). Most of the Eastern States are in drought. Bushfires have been rampant on the South Coast of New South Wales with towns like Mogo where my great grandfather was a gold miner in the late 19th century almost wiped off the map.

We've had some of that in the U.S. lately, mostly on the West Coast. I'm located in a spot that's safe... for now.

Unfortunately, during the last part of her too-short life, Marilyn Monroe had become convinced that she was fat, and was dieting, using stimulants, and getting enemas, in an effort to slim down! Horrible thought! Thank God for Jennifer Lopez, who doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with having a big,round, feminine butt that straight men everywhere look at and go, "WOW!"

I agree. That was a fun movie. Great writing. Great acting. And, best of all were the moments when the camera was positioned behind Marilyn Monroe, capturing the image of her wonderfully curved backside!
