With most states in Covid19 lockdown a dead Turkish bishop supposedly resident in a frozen section of the Arctic Ocean may not be allowed into the country. Weatherwise most states are getting a lot of rain. We have a damaged roof at the moment after a hailstorm a few days ago, even the Todd River that runs through Alice Springs and is normally bone dry is running a banker.

Actually, I was referring to the modern commercialized version of Santa, not the historical one. I wonder sometimes why somebody turned him into a white guy that seems to be comfortable in the extreme cold. In the U.S. Santa always wears red and white fake fur, but I've seen photos of Europeans in green or brown St. Nicolas costumes.

Sorry to hear about your roof being damaged during rainy season. It's happened to me before, and it's terrible to get rained on indoors and get your stuff damaged. I hope you can fix it soon.

My part of the U.S. is starting to get cold, but so far it's mostly a dry cold. No rain or snow.

What is now Turkey was part of the Eastern Roman Empire. Even modern Turks do not look much different to Greeks and Italians. What made you think that Turks were not white?

Most of the Turks I see have Caucasian shaped faces, meaning sharp noses and thin lips, but darker complexions than any of the depictions of the modern-day Santa in the U.S.
