It was from Peter O'Toole as Henry II when Richard Burton as Thomas Becket walked into his tent where he was in bed with Veronique Vendell as a French Prostitute. O'Toole said it as he pulled back the blanket and slapped her bum. Not bad for a 1963 film.

I saw that movie ages ago, but don't remember much, except an argument about why to use a fork to eat or not. (You won't get your hands dirty. But I'll get the fork dirty. You can wash the fork. I can wash my hands.)

I saw it in 1964, I was 16 at the time. A barearsed woman getting spanked was more interesting to me than forks.

I saw it on T.V. The network must've cut that scene. American networks have always been pretty bad about that... especially C.B.S. in the '60s.

What the censors will and won't allow is puzzling sometimes. There was a movie that I read about... I don't remember which one... that the censors advised the film-maker to make a violent scene MORE explicit, so the audience would know that a woman was being beaten to death... but not raped!

In Birth of a Nation, the "fate worse than death" was for a white woman to be raped by a black man. The racism that existed in this country back then has improved, but unfortunately isn't completely gone.

I read something about the KKK many years ago. A Canadian branch had an American Indian as its wizard. Asked why one of the members said "Well, he wanted it and the Chief is a very big guy."

You know, Playboy did an article with photos on Becket when it came out, but they didn't even mention the butt-patting! (As I remember - it's been decades since I reviewed that issue). Hef seemed to be mainly preoccupied with big boobs and was not into spanking, which is really too bad since he printed a lot of cartoons and it would have been nice if more than one of them, which is all I remember, had featured spankings. And there could have been the occasional Playmate spanking...

I supposed I really should try to round up a copy of Becket - maybe there's a discount DVD available - and extract the spanking scene for everyone. We'll have to see - I'm kind of busy right now.

I have the conclusion of the story that I interrupted to celebrate Romantic Spanking Month. The story takes place last August, about a week after Katie's birthday. She's gotten herself into trouble saying @#$%, and then running away from Bullmoose. How much trouble? Well, I think it's safe to say there will be a spanking in store for her!
