Giving her the title of "redaction assistant" was sort of a non-promotion promotion. (And it was the only job I could think of that I could abbreviate "Red Ass". )

I think in order for her to become the redaction officer, the current one would have to retire.

"REDaction ASSistant" - I love it! This is a promotion Katie truly deserves! Good to see the old "Pat on the Back(side)" gag get some new life here as well.

Using a formal employee evaluation, which is an actual feature of modern employment, to get us into the "spanking in the workplace" realm (to which Katie is no stranger, of course) was I think a clever innovation. It's a bit more sophisticated than the Kirk Stiles cartoon of the boss locking his female employee into the stocks to receive a hairbrush spanking, or those several secretaries (I forget how many) who were summarily turned over their bosses' knees for their tardiness. (The oldest secretary spanking cartoon in the CSR Humor Section, #A5, was based on lateness, although I recently discovered an even earlier one from 1948 where the secretary's offense isn't specified).

I also liked Katie believing that she deserved the spanking she got. Even women who aren't spankos will sometimes accept a spanking if they feel they deserve it, so the wise man should pay attention when a woman shows signs of a guilty conscience.

I'm glad you liked that one. My inspiration for the job title came from a real name tag I saw once. Someone was an assistant manager, and instead of the usual abbreviation: "ass't mgr", it said "ass man". Maybe he was... I don't know.

I thought the employee evaluation was a nice combination of old and new. (Of course the tardiness excuse is one I use a lot... and it became part of the evaluation. Being late to work is a convenient way to make Katie do something that's sort of naughty, and therefore spankable, but not malicious or obnoxious.)

I also liked Katie believing that she deserved the spanking she got. Even women who aren't spankos will sometimes accept a spanking if they feel they deserve it, so the wise man should pay attention when a woman shows signs of a guilty conscience.

That may very well be true. I've tried to make Katie a "Humorama Girl" who happens to live in modern times. Whether or not she believes she's guilty, she's always fully convinced that all the men who spank her do it for disciplinary reasons. (Except for birthday spankings, of course... Those are done to wish her "good luck" in the coming year! ) Of course, my inspiration for that came from all the old Dan Decarlo spankees, with their wide-eyed innocence, who never seemed to suspect the real reason the men in their lives wanted to spank them was to get their lascivious hands on those curvaceous bottoms!
