Yeah! That was very observant of you to notice the "L" monogram on Katie's hairbrush. When I first introduced Dizzie Lizzie, I had an idea for a television repairman story... but in this day and age there are no more television repairmen. When something goes wrong with TVs nowadays. we just go to the nearest Walmart and buy a new one! So then... In the first Dizzie Lizzie story, I explained that Lizzie McGill was Katie's Grandma, and that she had starred in a TV sit-com in her youth. (Or maybe, more appropriately... a CAN'T-sit-com, since Lizzie got spanked twice in that story!
) Grandma's old wooden hairbrush is a treasured family heirloom that once belonged to her dear grandmother... AND it's a handy-dandy spanking implement that has warmed the bottoms of AT LEAS%T two women (that we've seen so far) in Katie's family.

Yeah! I'm glad you liked that. Katie should've known that all of her male co-workers would go to great lengths to find out when her birthday is and wait anxiously for the big day to arrive! It's a shame that the politically correct crowd, and the sexual harassment sue-ers have made birthday spankings in the workplace a thing of the past! Of course, in Katie's world, they can and do still occur!
