I didn't think of that. I was thinking that, since it was just a trashcan fire, the dispatcher would only bother to send one firefighter to handle the job. And he didn't even have to use a full-sized hose like he did. A CO2 canister would've been enough.

But, as long as I was in overkill mode, maybe I should have had a whole "Keystone" fire department show up and completely fumble the operation before blaming Katie and taking turns spanking her.

But for now... we just have one lucky firefighter who got to put a falsely-accused "arsonist" over his knee.

An ambulance driver or a paramedic? Hmmmm... An interesting idea. I'd have to figure out how to get them on the scene wihout a serious injury or a sudden illness.

Even though I'm dealing with fictitious characters here, I don't want to mess with the lighthearted mood of my strips by having anyone get badly hurt.

I know some of Katie's fans were bothered that I introduced a serial killer to one of my stories. I had misgivings about that one myself. Of course, the point of that story was that Katie immediately punched him out declaring, "I get SPANKED, not raped or killed!

Maybe a false alarm?

Plenty of laughs here, as Katie takes the rap for Clorene's carelessness. A miscarriage of justice? I don't think so, and this was really the best part of the story: by having Katie overreact and cuss out the fireman ("You @#$% idiot!"), she really did deserve some OTK time (and she's been spanked for her potty mouth before) even though Clorene had earned a longer, harder spanking for her more serious offense. Of course, it's possible that the long arm of the law will yet reach out and "touch" Clorene - we'll have to wait and see.

So, how bright is the fireman? As a fire investigator, yes, he comes up short, but then again, his job is to put out the fire, not investigate its cause. And anyone who maneuvers himself into a position to give a good-looking woman a spanking can't be too dumb! By the time he was done, the only thing on fire was Katie's fanny, so I complement him on a job well done!

I'm glad you liked the humorous aspect of this story. I was going for what Dave Wolfe calls the ""hilarity and horniness" factor. As you point out, even though she's mostly innocent, she's not totally undeserving of her punishment. She did say the "@"-word. (As you may have noticed, @#$% isn't always the same cussword... it fills in for any word you wouldn't say in front of Grandma.)

Not only that, but, guilt or innocence aside... who wouldn't want to spank Katie in that wet, clingy sundress?

He's not the best fire-fighter in his brigade, and, as you say, he's not an astute invesrigator... but he got smart enough.... or lucky enough... to wind up with Katie across his lap! There will be a part two to this story.
