Hey, WillJohn, I've got a question that pertains to a future episode of this story: What are some popular terms of endearment that a man would use for a woman he loves? In the U.S. we might say "darling" or "sweetheart". What's similar to that in Australia?

Much the same. We do speak the same language. "Dear, darling, sweetie, honey, cuddles."

We do speak the same language, especially when one is being formal and using correct grammar. However, the big differences seem to be in slang, colloquialisms. and street talk. Like the whole shrimp vs. prawn thing.

Speaking of that, is "barbie" still used for a barbecue grill?

A barbecue is still a barbie, but with the dry conditions in most of the country now outdoor cooking is not encouraged. Even where I live in the suburbs of Sydney there have been many days lately where there is a lot of smoke from bushfires up the coast.

Yeah. I don't suppose the management would approve of him spanking two customers and then leaving with one of them. Maybe he was at the end of his shift and about to leave already... or maybe he's related to the owners and has his job thanks to nepotism.

I had another question about what word to use for something: the undergarment that we Americans call "panties". I've heard that the Brits call them "knickers". What are they called in Australia?

My wife calls them pants. Some people call them drawers, some call them panties. Young women wear g strings, older women wear passion killers.
Whatever you like.

Hi... Resident Artist b00m has taken his OTKatie toon to a new level Down Under, and it appears that Katie's grandma's heirloom hairbrush will be making its first appearance on a new continent.

You may recall, there was a caper back in the 1950s where the great Smilin' Jack had to spank TWO (!!) girls over his lap at the same time. They were Cathy and Cindy, a mother and daughter, both very attractive, and both super-deserving of spankings from Smilin' Jack. It would be great if b00m were to emulate that great toon with a new mother-and-daughter scene, Katie and Kaylin over Bullmoose's ample lap.

There's another angle about b00m's "Down Under" toon that resonates, big time, with me. See, I thought I was the first cartoonist to depict a pretty woman being spanked by a younger guy, using my own characters Tommy and his comely teacher, Miss Johnson. The idea that a young man was spanking his slightly older teacher fired my imagination for the three decades I used them in... and now, with OTKatie getting her bottom spanked by by a much younger Aussie dude, those old "tingles" I told you about are tingling again.

And it's great that Katie, a wife and mother now, still looks as young and vibrant (and as spankable) as she did in her youth.

A guy like Bullmoose is likely to be a very strict father... but I don't think I'll be featuring any parental spankings in my O.T. Katie strips.

In spite of the fact that Kaylyn clearly deserves some parental discipline, I'm not going to put any fatherly spankings into my O.T. Katie strip. However, Kaylyn is likely to get spanked again.

I'm pretty sure your Tommy/Miss Johnson spanking was the first i ever saw of a teen-age boy putting a grown woman OVER HIS KNEE. (Although I recall seeing an old picture of a boy taking a yardstick to a woman who got stuck in a window)

Yeah. In most ways (the ones that count) Katie is still the same girl she always was.
