hi everyone,

web-ed mentioned editing some spanking from raw hide and it reminded me that i saw an old wagon train spanking at you tube the other day. i remember this particular one. it originally aired on april 6, 1960 and i had remembered it from then and had always hoped to see it again. i did get that opportunity sometime later, although i can't say just when. there were no home video recorders then but i recognized the name of the episode when it came on so i ran and got that old reel to reel tape recorder and recorded the sound from the spanking when it came on so i could play it over and over . anyway, here is the link in case you would like to check it out; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ve3pyOd04k

Thanks for providing the link, Phil - I wasn't aware that this was available on YouTube although I had seen it before, on a Cinema Swats compilation that was put together years ago by our own Dan Rivera. It is a true classic, and certainly one of the most erotically-charged spanking scenes ever to appear on television (helped by the sexiness of the players, Robert Horton and Susan Oliver).

yes having the dress lifted up did make for a better spanking. I had actually seen DEATH VALLEY DAYS (THE TAMING OF TRUDY BELL) before this one and always thought that was one of the better tv series spankings. And BONANZA ( LOVE ME NOT) was another of my all time favorites. Another that i thought was very well done was CISCO KID (FALSE WEDDING) and the BAT MASTERSON (BRUNETTE BOMBSHELL) (I LOVED THAT ONE AS SHE GOT OVER HIS KNEE WILLINGLY) and of course MCHALES NAVY (BABETTE,GO HOME) I'm told there was another spanking in WAGON TRAIN called (THE MAGGIE STILES STORY). jimc was speaking of the TV spankings in "The Maggie Hamilton Story" from "Wagon Train" and "The Taming of Trudy Bell" from "Death Valley Days". Referencing those shows, you guys were allowing as how it does make for a better scene when the spanker pulls up the skirt of his spankee prior to the spanks.

You're right, it IS better when they do that. But let's remember that when Robert Horton pulled up Susan Oliver's skirt (1960) and Buck Taylor did the same with Valerie De Camp (1969), the shows were set back in the frontier days. The ladies wore their skirts long, all the way to the ground. Thus, when you would lift their skirt, you would expose only another petticoat underneath, with probably more layers of petticoats beneath.

So, all we get to see is more long skirts. Yes, there is a kind of hollow thrill when we see a long skirt pulled up in a western like that; but how much MORE fun it is, when we see a modern girl over a man's knee with her skirt pulled up and revealing her pretty legs and panties.

All of which is simply my vain try at applauding the seminal Mary-Louise Parker spanking a couple of years ago (2008), in the Showtime series "Weeds." All of us knew there would be a spanking, because the preview from the previous week's show showed us Esteban (Demian Bichir) landing a swat on Nancy's rear end. But I don't believe we realized then, that the spanking would be carried out on her panties, that her skirt would first be pulled up, and the gorgeous Parker legs would be front and center during the spanking. Now THAT's entertainment!

I wonder: Has there EVER been another mainstream spanking carried out in this way? I realize that a 1999 independent video called "Vampires of Sorority Row" does show such a spanking; but is that really "mainstream?" Don't think so. It was not marketed to the general public, but only to losers that like soft porn.

So, I'm still waiting to see the big, stupendous breakthrough of a MODERN skirts-up spanking that will show up on a network show. Hey, "Wagon Train" and "Death Valley Days" were mainstream, weren't they? So why not, in this brave new century?

I hear ya, Phil, and I agree.

In my own spanking "career," I always enjoyed the lifting of the skirt part... but I almost NEVER lowered the panties. To my mind, the panties are not much protection to her anyway, and since the shape and outline of her darling derriere is visible in panties anyway, I felt there was no need to humiliate her any further.

Of course, in some of my cartoons, I actually HAVE drawn spankees with their panties pulled down. But that was not my personal preference. Probably, the publisher(s) were saying the fans wanted bare-bottom spankings, so I supplied them.

This may interest you. One year, at a Shadow Lane party, we were playing a game we shall call "Spank in a Hat," because the idea was that guys ("the spankers") would put their names in one hat, and the girls ("spankees") would put their names in another. Then the person in charge (this year, it happened to be Jennifer Brooks -- I swear!) would match us up, and I was fortunate to be selected to spank Janice Gold. You remember her, don't you? DO you think the reason Miss Hamilton`s skirt was raise was that he wanted to make sure she felt the spanking? I watched the episode on Youtube, and it's quite entertaining. Particularly the spanking itself, but also the events that lead up to it and the contrite behavior of Miss Hamilton at the end of the story.
