Let us wax philosophical for a moment and ponder the age-old question: who should spank Black Canary? The most logical answer would seem to be her boyfriend (at least back in the 70s) and fellow Justice Leaguer, Green Arrow, with perhaps Superman as a second choice based on his pre-eminence among super-heroes and the fact that it was he who brought BC from Earth-Two to Earth-One to join the League in the first place. (This of course was before Crisis on Infinite Earths destroyed the Golden and Silver Age continuity of the DC Universe. Because Dinah Drake had been a Justice Society member, some Clever Dick figured out she must have been older than the other Justice Leaguers, none of whom looked to be over 30, and we couldn't have that for some reason, so they changed BC's origin to make her the daughter of the original Canary. For more on Black Canary, see my 2011 post cleverly entitled More on Black Canary over on the CSR Bulletin Board.)

This retconned Black Canary was still romantically involved with Green Arrow, God help her, and moved with him to Seattle, God help both of them, so despite his numerous character deficiencies G.A. would still seem to be the most natural choice of spanker for Dinah. And yet, perhaps because she eventually had the good sense to break off the relationship, spanking artists continued to find other, female, super-heroines to take Dinah across their knees. Last time it was Batgirl; this time it's The Huntress. That would be the cue for another long-winded explanation of who she is except for the fact that we made one some time ago in Huntress spanks Batgirl #1. Suffice it to say here that she's a part of the Batman Family (hence the bats flying in the background) and got spanked herself alongside Batgirl(!), and we will see Green Arrow spank BC next time - finally!)

Our artist here is Tim Philipps, whom we've seen several times before, most recently in Wonder Woman Wonder Girl #10. He does a good job with this pairing, which was probably requested as a commission. He somewhat exaggerates the roundness of even a round bottom, but it's hard to complain when a spanking artist does that. Why Huntress is seated on what appears to be a mobile steel staircase (certainly not a fire escape) is anyone's guess.
