Let's continue now with our mini-series of cartoons by Kevin Karstens and Bawdy Bard based on the Luann comic strip. This time Luann gets herself spanked by both the right-handed Knute and the left-handed Aaron. Now, these two panels stand pretty well by themselves as sexual experimentation is a normal part of youth, but in fact there was a third panel we have omitted for a reason we'll explain in a moment. In the third panel, Luann is confiding to her diary that being spanked by a right-handed guy and a left-handed one are equally hot, thus the panel functions like the punchline of a joke.
The problem was that the panel also shows a sexual act, something we don't see on CSR for a variety of reasons, one of which is to keep Big Brother at bay (the government would have a very hard time making an obscenity case on only nudity plus spanking with no sexual acts, although the SOBs might try some day). We don't have a problem with sex or even the legality of sexually explicit material, if that's what adults want to see, but we do need to protect ourselves from governments whose power these days is positively frightening (never talk to the police or FBI without your attorney present). And not to hide behind a legitimate fear of the state, we just don't present explicit sexual acts on CSR.
Fortunately as we observed above, the two panels work very well by themselves and form a very nice entry into the
Luann series.
