Back in Moon Mullins Spanking #1 we saw Moon's little brother Kayo spanking Mamie the cook, if only in his young imagination. This time the spanking is for real, but it's Moon's landlady Emmy who's on the receiving end. CSR Chief Strip Researcher Sweetspot, who discovered five of the six known Moon spankings, comments:
"Moon Mullins October 10, 1945: Emmy gets another misguided birthday spanking from Kayo almost twenty years after the first time. Lord Plushbottom seems blithefully unconcerned that another man is spanking his wife."
Sweetspot is referring to the scene from 1926 in MM Spanking #2 in which Emmy is mistakenly paddled by Moon. Let's take a look at the new scene.

This is a delightful scene based on the old rug-beating gag we've seen several times before in this gallery (see e.g. Out Our Way #1) that would have been improved by a panel in which we actually get to see Kayo apply the paddle to Emmy's posterior, but there are still a couple of remarkable things about it. First, as Sweetspot has already observed, is the rather strange attitude of Lord Plushbottom, now married to Emmy, to the idea of her getting a birthday spanking (with a big paddle yet!) from Moon, which is his misinterpretation of the scene. Perhaps he doesn't know about the potential erotic dimension of spanking, but Kayo's response, the second remarkable aspect of this scene, should be a tipoff:
"Oh, boy! They ain't anything I'd rather give her myself!"
This is truly fascinating, and consistent with the boy's earlier dream of spanking Mamie. Of course, even many
vanilla folks enjoy wielding a paddle as we remarked in the context of understanding the appeal of public
paddlings (see
The Whys of Spanking Part 1), but it just may
be that young Kayo is an adult spankophile in the making. Certainly his eagerness to spank
older women reminds us of us when we were a boy 
.
Moon Mullins ran until 1991. Given that longevity and the fact there were a number of spankable women in the
strip we haven't even seen yet - Egypt, Katy Higgins, Myna Byrrd, and Miss Swivel the sexy stenographer -
it would seem possible that there are still some other undiscovered spankings of interest (meaning not of Kayo)
in it. Sweetspot will keep looking, and so will the ol' Web-Ed when he can.
