Rogue has a long history with the X-Men, and an equally-long history of being spanked in the drawings of independent artsts. The artist here, Eugene Rzhevskii, did not intend to suggest that Rogue had just been spanked because he rendered her with an extremely tight-fitting costume rather than a bare bottom, but Doctor Cylon needed no further inducement and promptly re-colored the vital region to make it appear red and bare! It was a job that required considerable attention to detail, but the Good Doctor was up to the task.

Rzhevskii is a professional artist from Ukraine. We're not sure what tools he uses to achieve the effect of painting: maybe he works in that medium or perhaps he employs digital methods, which are becoming increasingly sophisticated. His favorite subject matter seems to be erotic depictions of women but we don't know of any spankings.
