Hi, Web-ed.

It's good to see that one again... along with your commentary about the changing attitude about spankings in the workplace.

I don't think I supplied that one, and I'd hate to take credit that belongs to someone else.

I think I did send that one... although I've forgotten where it originally came from. Maybe it was something somebody was selling on E-bay?

The only interest I
might have in
Li'l Jinx would be if someday I find one of her stories that I could
"homage" (in other words,
RIP OFF) as a "big girl" story! Unfortunately, I haven't found a
Li'l Jinx prank that would be the kind of thing a grown woman might do (and get spanked for).
The closest I've ever come to being able to do that is to have Katie buy the stamp that was used in an old
Little Lulu cartoon to extradite diary entries.

This week's featured update: An animated version of
Peter Pan Spanks Wendy by
Karstens and Bard
I think it's a nice animation, but I understand that by itself it's not much of an update. As I explained previously, we're in a short "breathing space" period until February, when
Doctor Cylon Month begins, and March, when I attempt a two-update-per-week schedule. And indeed I already have the updates for the next two weeks coded. Speaking of which:
Next Week: We revisit the
Steve Canyon episode in which
Poteet asks to be spanked

! New scans from Bill.
And in Two Weeks: We kick off
Doctor Cylon Month as shop teacher
Ms. Hooters regrets teaching two unruly pupils how to make wood paddles when they apply them to her backside

! Colorization done by you-know-who.

Hi, Web-ed.
Nice find.
web-ed wrote:This week's featured update: An animated version of Peter Pan Spanks Wendy by Karstens and Bard
It has all the stuff I like in a Karstens/Bard cartoon, Good OTK positioning. Cute round bottom as the target. A bit of kicking by the spankee. The ambiguity of... is it punishment or foreplay?
It also lacks the one thing that usually spoils my enjoyment of a Karstens/Bard cartoon: Wendy's hands aren't bound!
Nice work by the anonymous animator... except that, if I had animated it, I think I would've had more motion in Wendy's legs. I like it when spankees kick!

It's very interesting that you brought up the "kicking" issue, B00m - when I was coding a future update this week (the animations of a
Mike Kreffel cartoon we'll be seeing a little later than I thought, probably in March) I mentioned that I didn't think the animator was you because the spankee's legs weren't kicking enough

! Maybe you can figure out whose animations they are when we see it.
And we'll be seeing more of
Karstens and Bard in the future as well as I've been sitting on some material of theirs for far too long. As for the bondage element, a quick check (there's a lot of items I've already posted so I don't have exact numbers at this time) reveals a mixture of bound and unbound female wrists.

Our fifth and last update for January is a small thing but still a good one as I "took it easy" this week (hah!) to give me time to prepare for the next four months: we revisit
Steve Canyon Spanking #3. It's hard to complain about a scene in which the spankee actually
asks to be spanked

! Some nice new scans were provided to us by
Bill, and as usual I kept them in the files for years.
Without enough material for another
Romantic Spanking Month, and with some 1600 cartoons having been provided me by Doctor Cylon over the past couple of years, it seems quite natural, and indeed long overdue, that we have a
Doctor Cylon Month this February. Yep, it's going to feel the way it did a few years ago when most weeks I'd simply look in the Doctor Cylon File and pick out the weekly update - simple and relatively easy, except now I have to be very careful about duplicate files, both new and old.
First up (next week) we'll visit
Ms. Hooters' Workshop, where a young female shop teacher comes to regret teaching two unruly urchins how to make wood paddles

!
And after Doctor Cylon get us through February, you'll be glad to know we'll continue seeing his work on a weekly basis. For March through May we'll have one update from the Good Doctor and another from our other galleries on a rotating basis. This will give us a chance to see a wide variety of material, including the return of the
Humorama Series
. For the other galleries we'll emphasize the work of
Karstens and Bard as it's high time we get all of that extremely good-natured fun out there.
The Christmas season and its
Lords a' Leaping may be "behind" us, but the time for
Fannies a' Flaming is here (and really, it never leaves
CSR)

. Don't miss any of it!

Hi, Web-ed. Thanks again for all your hard work (most of which I don't understand when you try to explain how you code this stuff)
I like this week's comic (even though "Stevie B." failed to give Poteet her requested spanking. I really liked the way she flopped herself across his lap.
I'm a bit unclear about the relationship between Steve and Poteet however... and it appears that Mr. Caniff wasn't exactly sure himself. Sometimes they act like Guardian/Ward... and then sometimes they act like Boyfriend/Girlfriend.
It was sad to find out that Phil Overbarrel will no longer be able to make his weekly contributions, due to failing health. At least he was able to complete the episode he had been working on last week.

Didn't Steve refer to Poteet as his cousin?

I don't know if Steve ever specifically referred to Poteet as his cousin, Willjohn, but I do believe that was suggested once or twice. Steve either adopted her from the orphanage or became her legal guardian - I'm not sure which. She did always seem romantically interested in him but there was no affair.

Hi B00m - yes, the relationship between Steve and Poteet was somewhat ambiguous. I mention what little I know about it in my reply to
Willjohn.
Because I haven't been able to follow any topics on this board except this one for about two years (I tried to catch up somewhat on
Phil O.'s gallery in September before the roof caved in again), I didn't see Phil's announcement. I bitterly regret being so out of touch even though as a practical matter there is nothing I could have done differently that would have improved the situation, and I am very sorry to hear this news. I do remember that Phil was having some health problems, but that's all I knew.
I will look over his announcement in the next few days and post some kind of response. This is terrible news!

We kick off
Doctor Cylon Month with a visit to
Ms. Hooters' Workshop, where a young female shop teacher comes to regret teaching two unruly urchins how to make wood paddles.
Well, this was supposed to be a happy occasion, marking the beginning of
Doctor Cylon Month, but the recent news about
Phil Overbarrel (see the previous few posts) has pretty much put a damper on my spirits. Accordingly, I think I'll forego the Spanking Search Report for January and a discussion of my plans for March - May which I've touched on previously anyway.
The updates will go on as planned, with "The Plumber's Curse" slated for next week.

Maybe (from the teacher's viewpoint) it wasn't such a good idea for a shop project... But, what did she
think they were going to do with the paddles once they were done making them? Take them home and let their parents paddle
them? I don't think so! Use them as bread boards in the kitchen? A little more likely...
MAYBE! But, considering that she had a birthday coming up... that coincided with the completion of the paddles... I think maybe she should've expected to get spanked in class.
web-ed wrote:Kreffel has a nice conception here, pretty well executed except for the paddle being applied at an awkward angle. Better would have been to have one twin holding down the spankee's shoulders while the other applied the paddle with a nice, level swing, but we'll take it.
Yeah. I think it might've been better if they had taken turns with one holding her down and the other applying the paddle... but as Mick said, "You can't always get what you want."
web-ed wrote:The artist is Mike Kreffel, making his first appearance in CSR. We have just identified one other spanking cartoon as being his work (we'll see it at a later time) but don't really know much about him other than that he has done some album covers and created a comics heroine called "Tanya Tastee"
I did a Google search for Mike Kreffel and found one of his "Tanya Tastee" cartoons. She was on one of those cranes that fishermen use to pose and photograph a big catch, with two sharks looking at her and drooling. The way Tanya was proportioned and posed, made me think she would've made an ideal spankee! But being eaten by sharks? Not my thing!

It seems that Saint Valentine's day this leap year brought Little Annie Fanny more butt slaps than proposals.
The reaction to one with the Stillisons tool (Americans call it a wrench) was a bit of an overreaction.
