Hi, Web-ed. Wow! I really like the updates for this week!
Glad to hear it, B00m! I have a hunch you're going to like the conclusion of SSS this week as well.

Super-Spanking Summer continues with Doctor Cylon generously providing Batgirl with another red rump,
As with most of the other pictures showing Batgirl by herself with a glowing red backside, I like to think of it as the aftermath of "Batgirl's Bad Day".
Did any of the actual D.C. writers ever delve into the possibility of a Batgirl/Robin romance? I guess if it hasn't happened already it won't now. They've recently decided to make Robin gay.
As I remember, yes there was a time, probably in the late 70s, when there was a suggestion of a
Batgirl/Robin romance, but I don't think it ever went too far. I can still recall some of the dialogue from an issue of one of the Batman Family comics, probably
Detective Comics but it could have been
Batman. Batman was talking to Robin, perhaps on the phone, and he suggested that Robin was interested in Batgirl. The dialogue proceeded something like this:
ROBIN: Come on - she's got to be seven years older than -
BATMAN: I don't know, kid - older women looked pretty good when I was your age.
[Note: Batman was probably about 10 or 11 years older than the
Dick Grayson Robin who was in college at this time, while the
Barbara Gordon Batgirl must have been out of college for several years by then, hence the "seven years" remark.]
(And yes, if anyone wonders, I really
can remember passages of dialogue from comics, plays, and movies I haven't seen or read for more than forty years, and sometimes still see old comics panels from that era in my mind as well. You might think I have some unusual gifts - until you look at my bank book.

)
As for turning Robin gay, this is pure virtue-signaling from DC. They are in effect saying, "Look at how wonderful we are - we show gay characters for no reason other than to remind everyone how 'woke' we are, so be sure to recognize our terrific virtue and please don't think about how rotten our storytelling is and what a waste of time our comics are."
DC may not be as far gone as Disney/Marvel, whose smug little Social Justice Warriors have completely ruined those companies, but they're close. I haven't read either one in years, and don't intend to unless they rediscover what good writing and drawing are. (I do sometimes follow the criticism of guys like Ethan Van Sciver and "Your Boy Zack" as he calls himself, which I how I know the SJWs have ruined comics as they ruin everything they come in contact with.)
Glad to do it, B00m! And I'm going to continue plugging this fine spanking humor story for as long as you continue to create it!
