I'm way "behind" in updating the DB with spankings that aren't going to be posted, so I thought I'd try to do a few each week. And I'm going to list them here on the BB even though most of them are truly terrible. If anyone is curious about any of them, drop me a line and I can send you the offensive item(s) privately. This week's pile of dreck, all from Golden Age issues of Action Comics:

1. Action Comics #58 (March 1943) – M/M, Bobo/Dummy, OTK, Hand. Awful scene; discovered by SPK.
2. Action Comics #69 (Feb. 1944) – M/M, Superman/Prankster, OTK, Hand.
3. Action Comics #125 (Oct. 1948) – M/F, Father/Bebe, OTK, Hand. Bebe is a little girl strip like Li’l Jinx, etc.

I don't remember Bebe, and it probably didn't last long. And what the heck was it doing in Action, where Superman was the lead feature? DC always had weirdly-placed filler strips in the Golden and Silver Ages. Anyway, nobody really needed to see another little girl spanked by her daddy, which is what we have here.

The other two are even worse. Superman spanking The Prankster? I'm proud of the many X/F spankings I've discovered in various comics, but I've hated every M/M scene I've discovered (this isn't one of mine, by the way, which is the only good thing about it). I suppose the very worst is still the entire Superman Revenge Squad mass-spanking the Junior Squad (that's one of mine), but this one is nauseating enough. Much as I like embarrassing DC, I refuse to post it.

We bring in the New Year with some new fiction from D. M. Sherwood: Being Topdog has its Price.

We don't see a lot of written material here, but D.M. Sherwood's contributions are fun when we get them.

Doctor Cylon continues his Scooby-Doo series with a spanking for Velma,

Their subject material here is Velma, her chubby bottom bared by a mustachioed(!) ghost, apparently for spanking purposes (we believe Doc Cylon added the red coloring) as he binds her wrists with his right(?) hand.

The anatomy is not particularly strong,

Hmmm... I do think there are some anatomical problems with the drawing. A careless mistake that some artists make... (I've done it myself sometimes) is a wrong alignment of the thumb. It looks like the ghost has a right hand on his left side.

But I guess I shouldn't criticize too harshly... It's Velma, and she's getting spanked!

The Comics Spankings Series continues with Dollie's Dilmma, and either way, Dollie's going to get spanked!

although of course male spankers would be even better.

I agree that some male intervention would've made this one more pleasurable for me.

Resident Artist Hugob00m continues the adventures of O.T. Katie with Katie, Kaylyn, and Delores all trapped in the pillory, waiting for what comes next!

Thanks for the plug. I hope Katie's fans will enjoy the variety of including a pillory in the story. If not, Katie will be going back to Kansas and back to an O.T.K. position in my next episode.

I'm very glad to see this, B00m, because as it happens, I don't have anything special planned for February (our Romantic Spanking Month) this year. The reason is simply that the pickings from the Romance Comics I've been searching the past few years are too scarce. I found a decently-composed scene in another issue of Young Romance, but the spankee is only 12 so I won't be posting it.

So thanks for taking up the slack once again, and I'm sure everyone is going to love what you've got planned for Katie next month!

Great "heart" design, by the way. Reminds me a little of the work of the late Dave Stevens.

I'm always happy to post new fiction from D. M. Sherwood, who shows us that life isn't always easy for a female Leader of the Pack.

In the Doctor Cylon Gallery we have another drawing of Velma, very similar to last week's. If spanking chubby bottoms is to your taste, you'll like this one!

Trolls of Troy is, frankly, pretty lame - like most French graphic novels. As far as the spanking goes, this is the triumph of quantity over quality. We've got nine young women getting the lash across their behinds, and yet (1) it's F/F; (2) the spanker doesn't seem to be involved in the scene at all; and (3) one single lash - a bad instrument - is being used on all of them. It reminds me a little of some British film comedy - it must have been a comedy - years ago in which a headmaster is preparing to cane about a dozen boys simultaneously with a preposterously long single cane.

For the Comics Spanking Data Base this week we have:

1. Fred Andrews / Archie Andrews – issue unknown. M/M, hand, OTK, off-panel in recording studio, apparently for authentic sounds. Shudder! There was all too much of Archie and Jughead shown afraid of spankings from their fathers in the Golden Age, and all too little spanking of Betty and Veronica, although Archie Comics as a GA publisher still hasn't been thoroughly searched.
2. Andy Panda spanks Charlie Chicken – ‘nuff said. Issue unknown. OTK, Hand, M/M.
3. All Funny Comics #7 (Summer 1945) F/M Teacher/Boy OTK Hand. Grandpa Peters strip by Tom McNamara. Discovered by Andre at SPK.
4. Barney Google Snuffy Smith / Jughaid. Spanked for picking on Samanthy.
5. Barney Google Snuffy Smith / Jughaid. “Younger generation hain’t got nary a bit of respeck…” Discovered by Andre.

Bad stuff, but take heart because next week we have Doctor Cylon and the conclusion of his Scooby-Doo Series plus a stern caning - M/F, thank goodness! - from another French comic. And B00m will surely have something for us as well.

More new fiction from D. M. Sherwood: Leader of the Pack.

A nice story. It's good to see some D.M. Sherwood fiction here. I've got a collaborative project going with him. I'm drawing some characters in the style of '60s D.C. comics. It's going a little slow, with all the other things I've got going on... but fortunately, I don't have a deadline on it,

Like many of the Doc's pictures, this one shows the aftermath of a spanking, and so the observer is free to speculate who reddened Velma's round backside. I'd prefer to think it was a ghost or Fred... or even Shaggy, rather than for the two ladies to be having a go at each other.

I liked the drawing style of the artist... but that's about all. The woman with the whip looks bored and so do the women (slaves?) being whipped.

I'm glad to "take up the slack", as you call it. I was wondering if you'd be able to find any romance material this year. The old romance comics had a few nice spanking panels, but are there any we haven't seen? Maybe not. And, yeah... the one with the twelve-year-old... I don't need to see.

I have some "romantic" stories with three of my female characters being spanked by the love interests in their lives... so hopefully that will help to fill the gap. I'll just interrupt the long-running story I've been posting in weekly installments since July to post my "romantic" stories in February.

One other item, unworthy of note: I put a strange Italian F/M scene in Comics Gallery 2, segregated at the bottom where it belongs, for the benefit of any F/M fans out there. I post these things occasionally but no longer bother with links from the Home Page. Anyone interested can go to the Gallery and search on "Fly-swatter" to find it.

And speaking of unworthy of note, here are the only two other items going into the Comics Spankings Data Base this week. They are both F/M from Captain Easy and will not be posted in Comics Gallery 2 because we've had our F/M quota for a while:

1. Captain Easy June 14, 1942 F/M Lulu Belle / Cousin Mervin, lying down, paddle – cousin Mervin won’t obey his baseball coach, so Lulu wallops him with a plank-paddle.
2. Captain Easy June 21, 1942 F/M Lulu Belle / Cousin Mervin, OTK paddle – Lulu paddles cousin Mervin for dropping the ball. Continuation of storyline from 06/14 (q.v.). Discovered by Andre. (12th and 13th spankings from this strip!)

13 spankings! That's quite a lot for one strip, although Popeye might have had more.

I have a couple of problems with this version of Daphne... mostly that she doesn't look much like the original character. The face isn't quite right.

And there's the thing with Julius Zimmerman drawing such over-sized boobs. He does that a lot. I actually do like big boobs on pretty women, but there is a limit. Decarlo and Wenzel usually made their women... let's say... more endowed than most average women, but not to the point of appearing grotesque.

On the positive side, I like the pulsating glow! It looks like that poor girl's bottom is feeling really really hot!

All fair points, B00m - some weeks are certainly better than others at CSR because although I try to maintain a minimal level of quality, the quality of the material I have to choose from varies greatly. And "quality" itself is a complex standard although not completely subjective, encompassing among other things drawing/photographic/videographic skill, eroticism, humor, and the suitability of the spanker/spankee pairing. Some items are so fantastic there can be no doubt they deserved to be posted, like the famous Phantom/Queen Pera spanking, while others barely make the cut, like the recent (and rather lame) "Trolls of Troy" or the Zimmerman drawing of Daphne we saw this week.

Zimmerman's work in particular is highly problematical, and as I have mentioned previously he has on more than one occasion given fits to both Doctor Cylon and myself. The enormous boobs, the gratuitous "exposure," the explicit sexual acts (I've got a whole file of these that can't be used on CSR) - and the list goes on. And yet we also have those numerous bending-over poses and bare bottoms , so what are we to do? We can't ignore those elements and their potential any more than Doctor Cylon could - or did!

Indeed, there are one or two Zimmerman drawings of Helen Parr I have some real doubts about, and I don't know whether we'll see them during the Good Doctor's current series on Helen, but he also did some others I think pass muster.

I've actually got some more Doc Cylon material featuring the gang from Scooby-Doo, but I figured we'd seen enough for this year and decided to move on to The Incredibles. This week we revisit the first Incredibles piece from ten years ago with two new versions, but we'll move on to completely new material starting next week. I'm not sure how many weeks we'll run this one, but I guarantee we'll see plenty of Helen Parr, who seems to be something of a favorite with independent artists

The press of business has left me somewhat "behind" in apprising CSR readers of where we stand on future plans, ongoing searches, etc., so I thought I'd give the end-of-year totals from my ongoing Golden Age comics search along with this week's sad entries in the Comics Spanking Data Base.

Total: 653,736

Although nothing much turned up in comics themselves, a number of humor digests, mainly from Harvey, became available in digital form during 2021. These are from the 40s and 50s and did produce some items of interest, including a very early Bill Wenzel spanking cartoon from 1955 and an even earlier one from an unknown artist printed at a frustratingly small size. Of course we'll see them in due course but probably not before fall given how much more material I have for the current Comics Series. Meanwhile, we can hope for more of these digests this year, and I expect one of the five remaining Humorama digests from the "classic" period 1955-60 to fall into my hands shortly.

Now for the comics spankings that we won't be seeing on CSR but that are going into the Data Base (most of these are from Andre at SPK):

1. Davy Jones (April 19, 1969) – evolved from Joe Jinks and Curly Kayoe. M/M Big guy/Thief, OTK, Hand. By Sam McNeff and Wayne Boring. The Big Guy seems modeled on Humphrey from Joe Palooka. Discovered by Andre at SPK.
2. Dixie Dugan (this is an update). Mr. Dugan / Imogene. 9/14/1945 McNaught Synd. Details from Andre at SPK.
3. Dixie Dugan 05/16/1954 McNaught Synd. F/F, Dixie / Imogene, OTK, Hairbrush. Spanked for fighting, although Imogene gives Dixie pause by pointing out that Dixie is bigger than she is.
4. Dixie Dugan 02/22/1966. F/F Some Woman / Imogene OTK Hand. Imogene scares the spanker with a frog and soon regrets it. Apparently J. P. and Renny McEvoy never tired of Imogene getting spanked, but we don’t feel the same way.

I don't think the numerous spankings of Imogene in Dixie Dugan are of too much interest to anyone, but the one from Davy Jones, hideous as it is, makes me wonder if there might not be something more in that strip. With art by long time Superman artist Wayne Boring and with a known M/F spanking in its predecessor strip Joe Jinks, another M/F spanking would certainly be worth seeing!

I haven't seen The Incredibles, but I've noticed that there is a lot of fan art, (Much of it erotic) centered around Helen Parr. And it's pretty much inevitable that her shape would attract some spanko attention.

The Comics Spankings Series continues with a spaghetti western spanking from The Alamo Kid.

It's interesting to see comic art from another country... especially when there's a spanking for a pretty girl involved! I'm a little unclear on what she did to deserve the spanking, but whatever the reason, it was fun to see her turned over the man's knee, getting her skirts flipped up to show off her lacy black panties. Great find this week!
