Mark Trail is another strip that has featured more than one spanking during its long run (1946 - present). The first of the two we're going to present features characters we don't know, but is interesting nonetheless because it shows us that spankings do not just occur among young people. In this fine example of a middle-aged taken-in-hand spanking, a husband (Jasper) has had enough of his wife Vivian's social climbing and the trouble it has caused, and tells her, "I'm going to give you what you've needed for a long, long, time!" Good build-up with the dialogue and sleeve rolling-up, good positioning, and good, solid delivery with a hairbrush!

We don't know the exact date this appeared because the reproduction isn't clear enough to make it out, but there is a clue at the top where the Mark Trail radio show is referred to, which probably dates this episode between 1950 - 1952.
