Last time we saw Larry Malone's coloring of Daisy Mae bent over a trestle for corporal punishment, and this time we have his drawing as well. Though the two have a common result - a red bottom for Daisy - this one is much lighter in character, with Daisy very happy to receive spankings from her new husband, Li'l Abner.

Daisy Mae's positioning is superb if not entirely realistic: she's bending about 90 degrees at the waist and her back is arched to turn her bottom up further, and we may not notice at first that she's not really supported in a stable manner over Abner's lap. Malone has his own interpretation even of very well-known characters as we see here. Is it our imagination or is there a slight resemblance to the work of CSR Resident Artist Dan Rivera?
