We continue our series of drawings by Paula Meadows (Lynn Paula Russell) as brilliantly embellishd by Doctor Cylon with a bedroom scene rather similar to the one we saw last time. In it we see again a pensive spankee in an apprehensive mood, although this one looks almost frightened. (We hope we're wrong about that, but we do not have the original context, probably a fictional piece published in Februs magazine which Paula edited.) Paula shows her considerable drawing skills, while even this early in his career (2008) the Good Doctor demonstrates how to suit the coloring to the style and technique of the original drawing. Much as we like vibrant colors, a much more subtle palate was called for here to avoid overpowering Paula's delicate pencil shadings, and just such a palate is what Doctor Cylon utilized. Indeed, much of the work was left completely intact, with only the subject receiving a range of skin tones. |
![]() Our spankee "got it good" - the title attached to the work as we received it - once you-know-who got finished coloring it. Art by Paula Meadows, colorized by Doctor Cylon. Posted by the Web-Ed on 10/02/2020. |
![]() 10/23/2020 Update: We hate it when this happens, but we had another version of this one in our files when we presented it three weeks ago. Here it is, with the spankee's dress recolored green and an added caption. This appears to have been completed some time after the version above based on the unusual 2008 +2010 dating. |
