#120 - Ficklen Secretary Spanked for Lateness (Secretary Spanking #33)

By a very strange coincidence, Dan Rivera posted this cartoon (below left) exactly one day before we located it independently - what are the chances of that happening, we wonder? (See Dan's post and our reply on the CSR Forum here.) Our version came from the March 1957 issue of Jest. This is Herc Ficklen's second known secretary spanking, and the only one to follow the "classic" pattern of a secretary turned OTK by the boss for some offense, in this case being late to the office.

Judging by previous comments, Herc's few spanking cartoons are well-regarded by most of CSR's readers, and for good reason: they're mostly OTK with well-endowed spankees who don't mind being spanked one bit! We see these characteristics here as a tardy secretary receives a valuable lesson in punctuality that will serve her well in the future.

I didn't know where Dan's version had come from until I later found the December, 1971 issue of Stare (below). This is probably the original source for Dan's version, although it is likely that Humorama printed the cartoon a third time (second chronologically) sometime around 1964. This version, if it exists, has yet to emerge. Notice that the caption in Dan's version matches that of 1971 but not that of 1957. Both captions are very similar, with the secretary being ordered to type "I will not be late again!" 200 (or 400) times. We hope that's how many spanks she received!
