Another was AllThingsSpanking. And of course all the wonderful forums like WorldSpankingForum,SpankingClassics, Spankspot, etc.
Hope CSR will continue to survive
I forgot to address this concern last week even though I went on at length about other matters.
CSR is not going anywhere unless I get overruled by God

. I'm in pretty good health and should be around for a while yet. As a matter of fact, if I can ever find a young disciple to help out around here I would be happy to bequeath ownership to him/her upon my passing so the site and this board could continue, but so far I haven't found anyone and in fact I've been very busy lately just trying to get my non-CSR affairs in order (again, not that I plan to go anywhere in the near future).
Female applicants for the disciple position take note: if you screw up, you will be bent over your desk and paddled
!
As to the situation with
CSR, it has financial and non-financial components: although CSR loses money and I'm flat broke, the
financial situation is actually o.k.

I don't need my own servers for the site like AOTK does so the cost of running the site, with all its directories and 16 data bases (only two of which are in actual use!), is something like $18.00 per month not including domain registrations, etc. That's a loss I can stand, especially since CSR was never supposed to make money and I refuse to junk it up with a bunch of ads. The lack of funds mean few commissions and fewer Golden Age comics can be be physically procured, but with so much material in the files neither of those are critical problems at the moment.
The non-financial problems boil down to this: CSR is still too dependent on one person. I'm the only one who can update the main site (although I can solve the technical side of that problem if I can get the time) so all updates over there have to go through me. One problem with that is I'm only doing one update per week at the moment (but have done two or three under better circumstances). And of course I have to do all the technical support as well as the editorial work and page coding. Things are better over here on the bulletin board because our Resident Artists are able to control their own sub-galleries and in fact anyone can attach or link picture material. In fact, even if the worst were to happen, the Bulletin Board would continue to run on autopilot until the CSR domain expired - it needs only occasional technical maintenance from me.
"Bottom" line:
CSR is o.k. for now but a disciple to take over in an emergency would be a good thing to have.
