This Week: Super-Spanking Summer continues with a crossover mini-series within a mini-series as Deadpool spanks Harley Quinn - first of two.

Terrible, just terrible! Actually it's been several months since I've done this report, but we'll call it "July". I'm making slow progress here and at least not falling further behind, for as I've explained in the past keeping hundreds of scanned GA comics on my PC and having to back them up every few days takes a lot of time and space.

Soon I hope to discuss Don Wilson of the Navy, which has yielded no spankings so far but has some potential for a reason I'll reveal when I get a chance to update one of our existing pages.

And not to despair completely, for in case you missed the announcement a while back I did finally obtain a copy of a GA Timely book that I knew had a spanking in it, and it's not bad on its own as well as being interesting for historical reasons. This kind of search is of course more difficult and expensive than the GA search through digital archives, and it's surprising that I've done better with it than I have with the latter.

Be a while before we see it, of course.

It's been a while since I've logged on, so I'm commenting on the last three updates. First of all, I'm glad you're doing a feature on Harley Quinn, who I think is a very pretty, naughty, and spank-worthy villainess. And two out of the first three are M/F!

What I like about the one two weeks ago is that Harley is wearing the costume she was first introduced in: the black and red bodysuit. That's my favorite look of hers.,. especially when someone has her tights pulled down for a spanking!

Last week I was disappointed that it was F/F, but the way Harley's butt is drawn, so big and round, sort of makes up for what I didn't like.

And this week, she's getting spanked by a big muscular male character! And she's wearing those skimpy little short shorts that expose a significant portion of her bottom. And the look on her face seems to say she's not entirely happy with her punishment. Maybe Deadpool spanks harder than her beloved "Mistah J"

Loved what hug0boom said about Harley getting spanked in her "skimpy little short shorts." Pictures of women being spanked wearing them, or revealing swimwear, are a huge, especial favorite of mine. Love to see more. Yes, I know some prefer the classic skirt up and "granny panties" down image, and there is nothing wrong with that. But variety is nice too.
I wonder if there might be some old vintage photos or something from the 1940s or 1950s with women getting spanked in short shorts like the kind Betty Grable made famous. Remember, back then, modesty of female dress was made a bigger deal of than it became later. In fact remember something on Chross's site that was supposed to have appeared in a 1946 letter to a magszine where a husband told of spanking his wife for insisting on wearing her really short shorts in many public places. (Sadly the Chross site seems to have abandoned and taken over by porn spammers and the like.)

Another that it would be fun to see would be a superheroine or villainess getting the seat of her sexy tights stung with a school type paddle, the kind referred to as the Board of Education. Would really make her take notice. Might say would make her STAND up and take notice, as sitting up to take notice or sitting for any sort of reason would not be something she'd care to do!

As far as spankings in short-shorts, I don't think we've had any photos, but perhaps we've come close with the cami-knickers in some of the Humorama cartoons. And then there was this one of a flapper spanked on her knickers going back all the way to the 1930's:



The stories aren't the only thing that's going to be hot when the devil finishes with this flapper's fanny!

Our Harley Quinn spanking this week is once again F/F, despite the preference of most CSR readers for M/F. As I've explained many times, although I would prefer a higher ratio of M/F to F/F in Comics Gallery 1, I'm limited by the tastes of the artists and sometimes the people who commission them, and the strange fact is that these people have a marked and peculiar preference for the F/F orientation. Thus the best I can do is exercise some quality control and try to bring you only well-executed F/F material.

I think this week's Harley offering qualifies. It's very similar to some of Joe Gravel's other work we've seen before - "Good humor and oversize boobs and butts" is how I describe it on the page - but well worth seeing even so.

Since I was able to get to a second update this week, of course I made sure it was M/F to sort of balance things out. I chose Pablo's bare-bottomed update to the spanking of Singapore Sal in Femforce #46 because he sent it to me years ago and it's quite interesting enough to have deserved to be posted before now. Pablo sees to it that Sal gets it good and hard on the bare bottom, and she certainly deserves it.

Who is Singapore Sal? I think I really had no idea when that issue of Femforce came out. AC's practice was to revive some old characters, and upon further research I find that Sal appeared in three other issues of Femforce, none of which are believed to have any spankings (although I can't remember if I leafed through them in the comic shop back when they were being published), and more surprisingly in one issue of Nyoka the Jungle Girl, two issues of Whiz Comics, and three issues of Don Winslow of the Navy which I've been going through lately.

Don Winslow had been popular on the radio and I believe even had a TV series at one time. A number of his comic books have become available in the past two years, and I believe I've reviewed all of them including the three with Singapore Sal - no spankings . It's a pity because it would have been natural for the strait-laced naval commander to have taken bad girl Sal over his knee. I don't know if I've seen the issues of Nyoka and Whiz in which she appeared because I don't remember them, but there can't be many of either that I haven't gone through. (We had some fun with the missed opportunities in Nyoka a few years ago on this board - use the search facility on the Home Page to find it again for a few laughs if you want to).

The point of all this, if there is one, is that it looks like there aren't any more spankings of Singapore Sal out there, but I can't conclusively rule them out. If anything turns up, you know where it'll be found!

We only have two weeks of Super-Spanking Summer left, and Harley will be spanked by a male both times: The Punisher next week and who else but Batman himself the week after that. In addition, we'll have a second feature both weeks of fiction by Doctor Cylon (who also found this week's Joe Gravel cartoon).

Another good week. And I loved Singapore Sal. Sorry there are no more of her here though her name soundly vaguely familiar.



One thing for sure, she is a villainess who needs to be spanked well and thoroughly.
One I'd love to see is her swimming nude in those warm tropical waters, and get pulled out and her bare, wet bottom given a long hard spanking, and include a panel with plenty of bottom pain lines, pillows, and perhaps even a mantelpiece?
She also reminds me of some of girls Captain Easy spanked in stories set in the topics.
And of course the Phantom's Sky Pirates spanking.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of F/F spankings, but I like Joe Gravel's drawing style. Batgirl's bottom is big and round, (although just a bit lop-sided) and she's in a very nice OTK position. I would've rather seen her over the knee of one of the male characters... but, oh well!

I think it would've been better if their round of Name That Tune had been joined by Batman and Robin, who could play the drum solo of "Wipeout" on the girls' backsides!

And this one time, a hero named Paragon didn't fall for it!

This one has the things I like to see in a spanking panel. The spankee is a very pretty woman. The spanker is a big muscular man. Her OTK position is drawn well.

And, in the "G-rated" version, where she still has her pants, they're nice and tight. And seemingly made of a light-weight fabric that wouldn't really offer much protection from Paragon's punishing palm. But then we also have Pablo's altered version, in which her pants have been pulled down. (And her already-round bottom made even bigger!)

08/26/2011 Update: Here's a colorized version we picked up several years ago. We don't remember where, and we never knew who the colorist was, unfortunately.

I think the colorizing on that was done by me. I remember starting out with a low-resolution scan of that picture and adding colors to it.

I have a new colorized version of the Singapore Sal spanking, and some observations. First the picture.

I used the high resolution scan that you provided and added some color. The references available for Sal weren't always consistent, but most of them had her in green britches. (I decided to stick with the original outlines, instead of baring her bottom.)

Sometimes when I see a realistically-proportioned comic-book spanking panel, I wonder whether the artist had models to pose for the drawing, used photos for a reference, or just used his knowledge of anatomy to get all the joints bent and muscles flexed in the correct way.

Paragon's pose, sitting on that tree stump, reminds me of John Wayne in McLintock! And Sal's expression, combining defiance, anger and just a bit of apprehension, is also a bit reminiscent of Maureen O'Hara, when the Duke first put her a across his lap.

Marvel's The Punisher is such an obvious choice for spanker it's surprising he hasn't been used in more spanking cartoons.

Yeah! I haven't read any Punisher comics, and I'm not too familiar with the character, but the name would seem to suggest that he should out there spanking some naughty superheroines... (along with dealing out more serious punishments for more serious crimes, of course... but that's not our concern at the moment! )I'm glad to see this picture of a somewhat more voluptuous Harley turned over the Punisher's knee!
