On Herc's E-Z Loan spanking:

it was mine. You can tell by the kicking legs. I haven't seen any other animators that do that. And actually, I didn't bare her bottom... instead, I drew a pair of white cami-knickers like the ones that were popular in that era. I didn't like the checkerboard design that the original artist had drawn on her panties.

Boom, thanks for the animated version. i love the kicking legs and i couldn't help but notice that you went to the additional trouble of having his hand land first one one cheek and then the other. quite delightful . i also like the white panties better. the spanker is obviously having a great time in your version too .

b00m: I've corrected the page now so it reflects your authorship of the animation. I don't know why I wrote that the spankee's bottom was bare, but I corrected that too. Your cami-knickers were an improvement on Herc's cross-hatched panties. I speculated on the page that the cross-hatching may have been an attempt to simulate translucent panties.

On the large proportion of F/F superheroine spanking:

As you know, I am not a big fan of F/F spankings. I never buy F/F spanking videos, though I have a rather large collection of videos in which the male tames the female. But F/F seems to me to be unnatural, somehow. I know, I know, lots of your members like the girl-girl stuff, but I can't seem to get into it.

While I do have some obligations to both the male and female readers who like the F/F spanking orientation, the truth is I would do less of it if it weren't for the fact that artists seem to produce more F/F than anything else. This is in stark contrast to the actual comic-book spankings produced during the Golden Age, where the F/F orientation was the rarest of all. I don't know how to explain the prevalence of F/F these days - perhaps for the same reason there are so many girl/girl scenes in straight porn directed at men. Of course there is some lesbian interest in F/F spankings, and some women are intrigued by the thought of receiving a mommy-type spanking from another woman, both of which are fine, but I still believe it's the male audience (and male artists) that are driving this. When choosing independently-produced superhero spanking material, I'm therefore pretty much forced to make my selection based on pure artistic merit without regard for whether it's M/F or F/F (I still exclude most X/M stuff no matter how well it's drawn). A secondary criterion is based on the identity of the spankee - if it's some superheroine or villainess we really want to see on the receiving end, it has a good chance of making the grade.

Actual comic-book spankings are subjected to a somewhat different editorial standard because both historical interest and sheer ludicrousness play a role there. Hence the Super-Tot and X/M stuff, of which I'm afraid we're going to be seeing some more in these last few weeks of Super-Spanking Summer. However, I do promise to have at least two X/F super-spankings each week to compensate, and if possible a M/F pairing, which I consider to be the most normal and natural (next Friday we'll have Spider-Man spanking Black Cat).

Another great set of updates this week, for which you have our undying thanks.

I really appreciate the huge amount of research you put into this, our favorite pastime. It can't be easy, dredging up these old cartoons from whatever source, then separating them by genre and cataloguing them before you post them here. Yet, you continue to delight your fans. May this mission of yours never end.

Thanks Dan! No, it's not easy to keep finding this stuff, especially when I simply don't have the funds to buy up huge quantities of old cartoon mags or even for specific Golden Age comic issues that I have good reason to believe contain a spanking panel. And yes, the cataloging does take time. But I've still managed to comb through a lot of material (375,000 comic pages in digital form and 25,000 Humorama pages in print form). And I hope no one is too disappointed when the rate of discovery decreases, which of course it must and has with the old classic items. There's simply no way something like the Humorama Series can go on forever, although I sure wish it could! But there will be the occasional surprise item from the past, such as some non-Humorama spanking cartoons from the 50's I'm sure everyone will find of some interest, plus there are definitely still some Golden Age comics spankings out there I've tentatively identified but can't get copies of - yet! And there are the articles I hope to do on the History of the Spanking Cartoon and Spanking in Men's Magazines such as Mr., not to mention my years-delayed revelation of the identity of the "Aces Artist"

I can't promise that any particular amount of finding will continue, but I do promise never to stop looking!

I was around, back in the day, when women were acknowledged to be weaker than men, more vulnerable than men, and in general subordinate to men. Over a period of weeks in the mid-1960s, all that changed.

The newly "emancipated" females flexed their political muscle. In 1966 the National Organization for Women organized to overturn "discriminatory" laws, and the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was passed by Congress in 1972. It was never ratified by the requisite 3/4 of the States, but the damage had been done. Women were now claiming equality with, and in some cases preferential treatment over, men. Young women began to wear more gender-neutral clothing, to oppose the so-called sexual double standard, and to claim for women the right both to sexual expressiveness and sexual preference inside or outside of marriage.

Since the social media always follow national trends, images of M/F spankings began to disappear from movies, television, and print media right about the time all this gender upheaval was going on. Before the 1960s, it was fairly common to see spankings of women by men in the media; and Web-ed, you have done a magnificent job of finding examples of that sort of cartoon and posting them here. But with the feminist movement of that decade and subsequently, there have been subtle changes in the mainstream approach.

Of course, the spanking of pretty bottoms remains a primal urge in human nature, and no civil rights law can ever amend that. But modern depictions of such activity tend to be F/F... that is, we now see more pictures of women spanking women than ever before. God forbid those nasty MEN should spank the lovely FEMALES!!

Whoever is still reading this, you probably think I hate women. That isn't so. I love women. I adore women. I am happily married to a woman, am the father of another woman, and grandfather of two more. Women are a big part of my life, and my women are worthy of all my support and treasure. But, no matter how you slice the issue, women are not men. They are different, and as the French say... Vive la difference!

Web-ed, you know that I like to watch movie spankings, and of course they are different from cartoon spankings. But it's interesting that as M/F spanks have virtually disappeared from print media, they have also virtually disappeared from movies... except for one thing: that old primal urge we mentioned. When M/F spankings finally resurfaced on the screen, in 1984's All of Me, we saw Steve Martin spanking Victoria Tennant... at her OWN request! That's right, instead of being an old-fashioned punitive spanking, now it was consensual! More recent films have followed that trend, for example Federal Protection (2002) and Adrift in Manhattan and Normal Adolescent Behavior (both 2005). In all of these, the film makers bowed to pressure from the fem-libbers and made the spankings consensual.

Happily, our Latin American neighbors to the south still cling to the old-fashioned notion of punitive M/F spankings, as displayed in telenovelas from Brazil and Venezuela. I've mentioned these to you already.

In sum, I blame the prevalence of F/F spanking pics on the fem-lib upheavals of the late 20th century. But M/F has returned, somewhat -- see "Weeds" (2008) and "Bored to Death" (2010) -- and now I'll go out on a limb and say that yes, we will probably live to see M/F spankings in cartoons again.

You may well be right about the feminist movement being to blame, Dan - in fact, I don't see how it could not be to blame for most of the disappearance of good old-fashioned M/F scenes in popular media, where the male is clearly taking charge of the situation - and the female! The strong man taking control of things was anathema to the Feminists, who were later subsumed into the larger movement of political correctness that continues to wreak havok on our culture to this day. Very likely this social pressure has also affected the "independent" artist, who isn't always independent of cultural norms and may feel pressured not to do M/F spanking scenes. Of course, there are a lot of artists who aren't intimidated by feminist dogma and go ahead and produce nice M/F drawings for us.

Let's all hope that we do indeed live to see a rebirth of the old-style spanking cartoons. There are indeed a number of modern practitioners, including yourself, which gives hope for the future.

Unfortunately, I really didn't follow "second-tier" men's mags like Nugget and Gent, Butch, so I missed these. I will add them to my search list, although no one should get their hopes up because I really just don't have the money to be buying this stuff any more and in any case I suspect the spanking cartoons only made an occasional appearance in them. There were a lot of other titles like Dude and Sir, and we all know that Penthouse had a few. Maybe someday though I or someone else will finally go through them all and begin to scan any "spankers" we may have missed. For now, I'm going to use what little money I have to search through Humorama and other mags from the 50's and 60's as I am utterly fascinated by the development and flowering of the spanking cartoon that took place during this era.

I do have a few non-Humorama spanking cartoons from that era that we'll be seeing next year, plus some spanking mentions in Mr. and a few other mags.

Next, a word of explanation and a partial apology. Because I don't want to do a third "Halloween Horror" of mostly F/M scenes as I have the last two years, I decided to get the three I have ready to go done one at a time, where they can be easily ignored since there will be plenty of good M/F ones to look at the same week. This week, it's Martha Kent trying to spank Super-Tot, and I suggest that most of you simply ignore it unless you're very curious about the history of these things.

On the brighter side, since we've had DC heroes all summer long, I decided to do a Marvel mini-series, and it kicks off this week with Spider-Man spanking the Black Cat! This series will conclude in three weeks.

Next week the spotlight is on Black Canary as we have two good scenes, one M/F and the second F/F, with BC on the receiving end. We will also have, as I mentioned some time ago, a F/M scene involving Black Canary which once again everyone should feel free to skip right past. There will be another warning label to help you avoid seeing it if you don't want to.

Super-Spanking Summer II swings into September:

• First, I have another attempted Super-Tot spanking to get out of the way: after seeing Lois Lane try and fail on so many occasions, we were quite genuinely surprised to see Martha Kent break the hairbrush this time. Warning: goofy DC attempted F/M scene - you'll probably want to skip this one.
• We begin a series of four spankings involving Marvel Super-Heroes with Spider-Man spanking the Black Cat.
• Finally, we have the scene that should have been in Return of the Joker but wasn't: Nana Harley gives both Dee-Dee twins a good spanking!

The Dee Dee Twins was niceto have ,but eitehr better was Spiderman spanking the Black Cat.
While it is true her skintight costume would have been little protection I think having it ripped added to the scene by making her look even more humiliated.
A supervillainess , or for that matter a superheroine, getting in a fight or struggle which results in the seat of her costume getting torn or ripped out completely, and then on top of it getting spanked on her bare bottom, is wonderful to imagine.

Sorry I couldn't delve deeper into feminism's culpability for the decline in M/F spankings in popular culture (or for that matter, for the decline of popular culture in general) Dan, but I was quite tired after doing all the site updates, the Comics DB update, the Humorama spreadsheet update (which will become the new Humorama DB upon the conclusion of the Humorama Series), and I still had the update summary to do here, needing to get my reply to your post in first (to preserve the correct posting order), which didn't give me a lot of time to work on it. But I think we've covered the topic once or twice before, and everyone is still welcome to chime in at any time.

The Spider-Man/Black Cat scene was rather unique, Tanner, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

As for the Humorama Series, I must have discovered more in August than I had realized, because when I checked my inventory just now, I found 23 remaining, not including updates to existing pages but including a F/F scene between two wrestlers in the ring by Kirk Stiles! That would take the series to #128 and make it impossible to conclude by the end of this year as I had hoped (but for a good reason), and make the overall CSR Humorama spanking cartoon total 179 (51 Humorama cartoons had already been presented before I began the official Humorama Series). There's also an ambiguous one by Stiles in which based on the caption the boss seems to be beckoning his secretary to sit on his knee, but it also looks like he wants her to turn over it for a spanking. I don't know whether to post it or not, or perhaps reveal it here and let all of you vote on it?

So given that I'm going to give the series the week off on 9/28 when I conclude Super-Spanking Summer II, we have roughly five more months(!) of Humorama remaining (unless I discover any more, for the search is still going on, but very slowly).

i like the gag in the secretary by Stanley Rayon and also the drawing, although i would have preferred a more substantial bottom . i enjoyed your speculations about the artist and others at humorama too. in the psychology spanking i too like the startled expression of the spankee and i think her position indicates that she may have tried to get up once those spanks started landing. our spanker seems to be enjoying the whole thing . it looks like Spidey has the situation well in hand despite the strange position. Black Cat, on the other hand, seems very submissive to me . i liked the Dee Dee Twins spanking too. there's just something appealing about sisters getting spanked at the same time . more good updates. thanks, phil

Pretty traffic Offender Spanked By cop drawing from Herc is great even though the spankee seem to not mind being spanked there should have been some sort of protest or shame from the young woman Like the otk position and her panty cover bottom! I'm glad you posted the Herc toon about a cop spanking a pretty girl who has, apparently, committed some sort of traffic infraction. As I wrote earlier, I always like to see spanking pics when the spankee is enjoying the session as much as the spanker is, and here it looks as if this girl is really turned on by it. And I am turned on by it as well, since Herc has her appearing so very innocent, and so very shapely.

Thanks, too, for mentioning my name in connection with the reversing of the original cartoon. Police officers should always wear their badges on the left side of their chest, not the right. Has something to do with their hearts being in their work. I believe this is also true about fire fighters, sheriffs, and other service personnel.

The toon by "Paraschos" is pretty clever. He's got this girl turned over his knee and wants to spank her, but he's forgotten WHY! Hey, I can relate. When I was young and single, I would spank many a date without really having a clear "reason"... except, of course, that I just WANTED to do it. Somewhere in your database, there is another cartoon showing a domestic spanking scene where the guy is telling the girl over his lap "I'm spanking you because I'm angry with you for not giving me a reason to spank you!" Oh boy, does that take me back! But in my life, as I'm sure in your life as well, frequently the girls I spanked actually enjoyed it. So it's all good.

The girls are rendered expertly by the artist Aaron Yu, and as you say in your commentary, both spanker and spankee seem to be enjoying this experience. I have, literally, hundreds of spanking cartoons in my files, but mighty few of the F/F variety. Hmm. Let's see, I have the Lady Death spanks Pariah toon, the pic of Wonder Woman being spanked by her mother, and now this new HQ/BC picture. That's all. Every other spank toon in my files is M/F, as I don't usually collect F/F... but this one is very, very good.

The Gorilla Grodd toon shows the big ape spanking Black Canary -- her second spanking this week! -- while the already-spanked Huntress looks on, helplessly. It's a quality picture, all right, but in my humble op it is rendered much too dark here. I've downloaded the pic to my files, but on my computer I have lightened the background to allow the characters to "stand out" better.

Sorry for any confusion about the upcoming CSR Schedule - I'm not taking the week off on 9/28 - in fact I've had less than two weeks of vacation this year and actually did this week's updates from out-of-town (while continuing my comics-and-cartoon research at night in my hotel!) - it's the Humorama Series that's getting the week off because I'm going to have to scramble to get the four superhero spankings done in time for the conclusion of Super-Spanking Summer II on that date. And what a conclusion it's going to be: Batman/Harley Quinn, Black Widow/Spider-Woman, Green Goblin/MJ, and finally, a scene that has never appeared on the 'net before as a superhero spanks a superheroine for only the third time (that I know about) in an actual comic book! And for the first time, it's his female counterpart - and she's absolutely o.k. with it! Find out who they are in just two short weeks!

Really do hope to see a real M\F discipline type spanking soon in a comic book or comic strip It got to happen!!

in the Herc, cop spanking i really like spankee. she just looks very soft, feminine, appealing and submissive to me from top to bottom.............even her expression seems submissive. i think Herc did an excellent job of drawing her . i agree with you that the spankee in the drawing by Paraschos is lovely and well drawn. thanks for the history on when this was first published. i always did find it interesting that these cartoonists would so often draw a very realistic and lovely spankee while the spanker was so cartoony as if it was just an after thought. like you said, who cares about him . i have to agree with you and Dan that the drawing by Aaron Yu is very well done with both ladies looking really good it looks just like the kind of girl on girl scene that many men fantasize about i can't say i remember Gorilla Grodd at all but i will say that he has a good eye for a nicely rounded bottom to spank . i particularly like the nice, red, shiny hiney on the Huntress. more good updates. thanks, phil

first off, thanks for the plug for my last toon............a little free publicity never hurts . i like Herc's rank spank. the spankee is nicely drawn and very feminine looking with a nicely rounded bottom . the spanker actually looks like a Colonel to me and from the shit eatin' grin on his face i'd say this is a clear case of RHIP . i remembered this military spanking pic by Invidia which she titled Shockawe and thought i would post it here with my reply just in case we don't already have it at CSR. you can move it where ever you like. in the Wyatt "can't remember" toon, i too like the surprised expression on the spankee's face. i also like the spanker's slightly embarrassed expression.........next time he needs to figure this out in advance or just start spanking . i am assuming from the poorly drawn bottom that Wyatt has no interest in spanking at all and is probably a breast man. well, i have no more idea about Spider Woman and the 2 spankees than you do but i will say that from their red little spank spots they must have been pretty naughty . in the Harley/Batgirl spanking i have a hunch that both ladies are enjoying this spanking. From Harley's relaxed pose and lack of clothing she is taking her time and enjoying the view. it seems to me that this one is probably more foreplay than punishment. great updates again . thanks, phil

Thanks for the updates this week. You might want to change the title on your first cartoon, though. It says: "General spanks Private," yet the toon itself shows us a bird colonel spanking a PFC. I agree with you that the spankee doesn't seem to mind the spanking. Her plaint, "That's all you ever do around here -- pull your rank!" seems clearly de rigueuer and not meant to be taken seriously.

I like the Wyatt cartoon, although I agree with you that it is, in general, "unexceptional." This is an M/F OTK cartoon that I had never seen before, and here I thought I had already seen all of the "Humorama"-type digest spank toons.

Now I'm looking forward to next week, as you have promised us a super conclusion to Super Spanking Summer II, with Batman/Harley Quinn, Black Widow/Spider-Woman, Green Goblin/MJ, and that scene you speak of that shows a superhero spanking a superheroine for only the third time in an actual comic book! She's his female counterpart, and you say "she's absolutely o.k. with it!" So I'm thinking: Hey, THIS I've got to see!
