As I mentioned last week, we've begun a short period from now until the end of the year in which I'll be updating existing pages rather than creating new ones. I'm under tremendous time pressure and couldn't pull off another major series like October's Homecoming Month just now even if I wanted to. And there is of course the looming Christmas season which often ties everybody up, so I don't generally want to launch a major series during that time.

But I hope the updates we'll have during these few weeks will be of interest to everyone, and of course once the new year begins we'll have some new features (so far I've only had time to plan three, but we'll see). We can talk more about what to expect when we get to the end of the year. Until then, please don't give up on CSR even if you only want to look at brand-new never-before-glimpsed material, because while no site can offer that every week unless they're producing videos or something themselves, we'll definitely be seeing some in 2016!

i do indeed find this week's update to be of interest first off, i always enjoy finding out the publishing facts about a spanking drawing as we discussed in your comments on the pic i posted this week, i am a big fan of the story leading up to a spanking as it just makes the spanking so much more enjoyable and this one is no exception . i love the expression on the spankee's face as she suffers the indignity of having her bottom upturned for a spanking . the artist gave her an appropriate blush too . i also like her expression of love and contrition as she clings to her husband in the last panel......just as it should be . of course, i approve of Funbun's modifications to the spanking pic too . it's a good find and made for a good update ! thanks, phil

Thanks for showing us the context of the Prince Valiant spanking. I had seen the single panel before, but never knew what in the world was going on. Now I know that the spanker was Sir Gawain, a knight of King Arthur's Round Table, and now it's clear what he meant when he said that justice must be done. And, of course he was right! Justice DID have to be done!

I bet that young lady will think twice before the next time she tries to make her husband jealous... and I think the husband will know what he needs to do if she does ever try it!

I well remember the 1950s comis strip where Gawain spanked the impolite young lady but her arse was definitely not bared! This is an improvement.

Answering your second question first, Butch, the artist is Hal Foster, who created Prince Valiant and drew the strip from 1937 to 1971 when arthritis forced him to get a replacement. He continued to write it even after that until 1980, and died in 1982.

As for that young lady getting spanked in the gym - it must have been in the early 1990's. I think the excuse was discipline, although I did not hear the conversation before she was bent over the counter, but the whole episode seemed delightfully flirtatious in nature. Although older people do work out in health clubs, the young crowd dominates (I was part of it myself at the time) and these three people were all in their 20's, I think, so a little spanking fun and games was appropriate. They were strangers to me - I didn't know anyone that well there - and I don't recall seeing the girl again. I wonder if I would have approached her if I had ...

O.K., we're back online here on the ol' CSR Bulletin Board! I'm not sure what the problem was - some SQL value was supposedly too high - but it's all right now. The one problem with boards like this is that because the PHP code executes on the host's server (instead of in the client computer, as for example with JavaScript), we're dependent on a lot of the Host's facilities which frankly are not going to be given a very high priority. (If you have a VISA transaction coming through with $money, money, money, from some commercial site, and a PHP instruction coming through from the CSR Board which is going to cost you money because the execution time and resources come out of the host's wallet, not CSR's - at least not directly - which of the two would you give a higher priority?) Well, that's how our host feels, no doubt - they supply the resources to operate PHP scripted pages like this board (and our two data bases of spanking from comics and Humorama cartoons) because clients like me demand it, but they'd obviously rather see a lot of commercial transactions which their merchant-clients can't have held up too long.

By the way, you might wonder "How do I know if a given webpage is PHP or not?" The answer is simple: look at the URL in your location bar. The location of this page, for example, is viewtopic.php?f=5&t=175&p=8106#p8106. When you see that "php?" in the address, you know the page will require that PHP execute on the host's server before it will be completely in a form (HTML) that can be returned to and interpreted by your browser. That is why the pages on the main site were not affected - not using any data bases (except for the comic-book and Humorama data base pages), they don't use PHP scripting because they don't need to.

O.K., enough technical discussion for one day - on to the spanking updates!

Nine years ago we brought readers a spanking poster featuring the Futurama characters Fry and Leela, and we added an animated version since that time. More recently a new version turned up, so let's revisit Futurama Spankarama.

Next Week: we'll revisit one of the two known spankings of comic-book teen-ager Hedy Wolfe by her father as I reveal more information and of course some nice new scans to look at!

first off, thanks for getting us back up and running again. i got online this morning and posted my new pic, which i couldn't yesterday, of course. then this evening, i got that same error message again, even after i had refreshed the page. i waited a while and tried again and it's working fine. i did a reply to Willjohn's comments on my latest pic. i highlighted his comments and quoted them but it showed that they were my comments that had been quoted so i deleted it and quoted it again. the second time it was right?? anyway, i hope you didn't have to screw around with it for too long.

i like the new version of the space spanking and, as always, i enjoy getting the full scoop on the artist and such but i have questions. you indicated that this new version was done just this year and that the animation was done in 2010 but it appears to me that the animation was done from the version you just posted rather than from the original drawing that you posted in 2006. do you, or anyone else, have any thought on this? either way, it's another good update . thanks, phl

Nice update this week... in spite of all the problems.

I don't really know much about Leela, since I never watched Futurama, but I guess I haven't really missed much. I like the idea of a strong female character being spanked by a not-so-strong male character. Sort of a "tables-have-turned" type of scenario!

And thanks for finding some alternate versions with the young lady's bottom bared.

Yes, I noticed that too, Phil, and I was a little troubled by it. MadMovyMan posted the new version in May of this year and I somehow wrote that he "produced" it this year (I also made a typo in the hyperlink to his page I just discovered now), so I expect I'll go back into the page tomorrow and make a couple of corrections. It seems most likely that he did the second version a few years ago but didn't post it until 2015, at least where I could see it. So if that animated version was indeed based on the 2nd bare-bottomed version of the original poster, we then must ask how the unknown animator got ahold of it - unless it was MadMovyMan himself who animated it. As I recall, I found the animated version on some obscure porn site - the places I have to go to search for fresh material!

One other thing I did notice but didn't mention: Leela's lowered pants are slightly different in the two versions. Maybe that's why I thought the animated one could have come first.

the lowered pants are indeed slightly different and i noticed that in the still version you posted on the 20th, the area where the pants and panties meet appears to be a bit blurred as if it has been modified. of course, that may be the case in the animation too. i found it impossible to tell with the motion going on. i can see that determining which came first is almost as difficult as the chicken and the egg . we may never know but you are a through searcher and so perhaps we may yet find out. thanks, phil

I thought Leela's clothed butt had a nicer shape than her bare butt. I decided to do my own revision of the Spanked in Space poster. I made her butt rounder and very red.

Also... one small detail: I think that the gold-colored sash may have been the waistband of her pants, and not part of her tank top, so I changed that too... and fixed some awkward-looking shading on the tank top.

I hope some of you will like my alterations.

i love your modifications . the way you have drawn her bottom is much more shapely and more spankable than the rather bony original version . the red on her bottom is a given and really should have been done on the original but even if it had been, i doubt it would have been as nicely done as your version. thanks for doing this for us . phil

HI WEB-ED CSR I too love the bare bottom version of Leela `s spanking from Fry her rear is more plumper and rounder Also there should have been an episode where a spanking happen maybe to Leela or Amy by Fry with the Professor telling him spanking been outlaw for over a thousand years the original drawing is good the otk is nice and the black pants she wearing hugs her tight rear only flaw Fry has small hands he should have used an hairbrush!!

Darn it all, b00m - your version was so good I just had to go through the additional coding needed to add it to the page! As you can see, everyone liked what you did.

I'm very pleased by so much interest in this week's update. I realized after reading Phil's and B00m's comments that there were a couple of things I should have done differently. For one thing, in trying to avoid the construction "posted the poster" I wrote the more confusing "produced the poster" implying the thing had been created in 2015. More importantly, I should have realized that after so many years everyone would have pretty much forgotten about the comic book cover that started it all, Legends of the Stargrazers #6 (links added to the page as well):



Among other things, it explains why "Leela's" behind seemingly changes shape when going from clothed to unclothed - it belonged to Julie Green ! It also shows that B00m was right about the sash, which was not part of the top because Julie's top was entirely different from Leela's.

So thanks to Phil for his observations and B00m for his emendations.

" was right on the money and i have a theory why. other than the "Thanksgiving spanking exchange" that you posted this time, there just aren't any good ideas for Thanksgiving spankings.........or, at least, i've never been able to come up with any . of course, there are some people who have better, more productive imaginations than i do. i love the Thanksgiving spanking exchange pic that you used for this week's update and i've had it in my collection for a long time . your observations about why fight when there's spanking to be done are, of course, a universal truth in my mind . for them to spank each other's naughty girls seems like the perfect way for them learn to appreciate the similarities of their different cultures . when you said that you couldn't read the signature, i immediately went to my collection to get the version i had, which i remembered as being larger. it isn't. it's the same size but it used to be bigger and the reason for that is that they keep changing the screen resolution and the higher resolutions that they use these days has the effect of making the pics appear smaller.......sigh. anyway, it was good seeing this again . thanks for showing us this one again. phil
