Now for a brief announcement: there will be no update this week. Sorry guys, but although I have coded Cuddles and Dimples #2 I simply don't have the energy or the heart to post it right now. I mentioned the possibility that this might happen, but I want to stress that I am not going on extended "hiatus," which in reference to a spanking site/blog has too often turned out to be permanent retirement. Loading grief upon stress and exhaustion has simply left me unable to do certain kinds of work right now, and both CSR and some other things, like my serious writing, are going to be somewhat neglected for a while. In the case of CSR, that neglect is not total: I've looked at the mail box long enough to discover that Dan was having login problems which I hope are now fixed (I was wondering why we hadn't heard from him lately), small amounts of coding and research have been completed, and I will try to continue with the box this week.

I certainly hope to return next week as the New Year begins with hope for better things than 2019 served up, but at worst Jan. 11 would be the date to expect Cuddles and Dimples #2. This board will continue as usual, and only if you don't hear from me on it for an extended period should anyone be worried that something more has happened. (Unfortunately I've got no disciple to take over in such a case, or just to fill in for me when needed. I may yet advertise for one, but the position would be hard to fill since it would require (1) A spanko; (2) Someone willing to work for nothing; and (3) Female applicants would have to agree to accept a paddling every time they mess up.)

O.K., I'm back this week with three more excerpts from Cuddles and Dimples, the last of which features a rather inept paddling of the duo's "Mumsie". Still, the concept of son/mother spanking is intriguing, and I think both Phil Sweetspot and I have commented upon it in the past, and we have certainly seen some interesting examples, including actual videos of a son giving Mom a birthday spanking . Jon (Uasketcher) did a number of drawings and animations of son/mother spankings, and I'm not sure we've seen all of them.

You may ask, "How is it possible that you don't know if you posted them all? Aren't you 'Mr. Organization?'"

Indeed I try to be, and I currently have 8900 files (I don't know exactly how many of these are actual spankings) in the master CSR "New Material" folder, neatly subdivided into 432 sub-folders . Let us forego for the moment asking whether we're all going to live long enough to get through this spanking treasure-trove; the immediate problem is that Jon's remaining usable stuff (he did some F/M and other items we can't use in CSR that are not in the "New Material" folder) could be in one of several places. In fact, while writing this I though it might be in "Add to Existing Pages" and sure enough, I found several son/mother pieces there - hooray! . Thus we'll be seeing at least those eventually.

However, that isn't all. I can't remember for sure, but while Jon was alive and still had his site Underground Animations and its board, The Artastic Forum, I might have refrained from collecting his work for CSR and put it my personal spanking files instead. I've recently consolidated some of those, and I believe there is some spanking stuff that should probably be added to our "New Material" folder (as if we didn't have enough in there already!), but that's a project for the future.

I wanted to do a Spanking Search Report today, but as usual I've gone on too long so it will have to wait a couple of more weeks. Next week, it's the cataclysmic conclusion to the Comic Strip Series, assuming I can finish coding it in time. I'm going to do my best to take us out on a high note with a spanking from Dynamite Dunn as well as another work by Tim in which Dixie Dugan gets a very hard spanking as a number of other strip heroines look upon the scene with a mixture of dread and anticipation. O.K., I'm back this week with three more excerpts from Cuddles and Dimples, the last of which features a rather inept paddling of the duo's "Mumsie".

This spanking scene isn't as good as the one we saw last time, because although the kneeling position is done well enough the paddle isn't applied to the fullest portion of the buttocks as it must be and it has a nail in it - that stupid, ignorant gag dating probably from the 1930's.

You're right that this week's Cuddles and Dimples excerpt wasn't as good as last week's. But then, the last one was nearly perfect! Too bad the artist didn't do more like that one! Mr. Appleby must've liked drawing curvy females and "behnd in jeopardy" gags, since "Mumsie" had such a delightful target! But the badly-aimed paddle... with a nail sticking out of it to boot... spoiled the fun. I liked the popgun one a lot better. Thanks for including it.

The strip of the visit to the dentist's office seems to have some panels out of order and others missing. In the last panel, "Mumsie" is missing her skirt, but they didn't show her losing it. (But maybe I shouldn't care too much about it making sense. She looks good in stockings and garters! )

• After three titanic years, the Comic Strip Series concludes at last! First, a burly bouncer spanks Dynamite Dunn's old girlfriend .
• And then we have a wonderful pastiche by Tim of numerous strip females lining up to be spanked while Dixie Dugan actually gets her fanny tanned by an unexpected spanker ! What better way could there be to wind up the series than this?

It's hard to rank these things, but the current Comic Strip Series may be the most ambitious project we have ever undertaken at CSR, although of course the first Strip Series (ten years ago now!), masterminded by myself and JimC., and the original Humorama Series (2011 - 2014, if memory serves) fueled by the 60's cartoon reprints from Mike D.'s collection, were certainly worthy projects as well. I don't have complete statistics, but we must have presented at least 150 new spankings this time around (I'll present what stats I have in a moment). It's been a wild ride, and I couldn't have done it without these people (and my sincerest apologies if I've left anyone out; I really did try to take notes so I could thank everyone):

Yes, 74 new X/F comic strip spankings! That's a lot of sore female bottoms. He also identified 4 that were previously known but for which there were no details. And there were some X/M spankings I didn't keep statistics on for those who like such things. How many dates did he nail down? I didn't keep track, but the Comics Spanking Data Base is a lot more accurate now because of his research.

I can't say that I have a particular favorite from among Phil's discoveries, but I will remind everyone of the incredible spanking-themed plot of Oaky Dokes during which even Queen Guenevere herself gets her royal rump roasted by Sir Oaky , the long sought after fifth spanking from Abbie an' Slats, and the multiple, satisfying spankings of those two young heroines Diana Dane and Etta Kett. Take a good look at the Comics Gallery 2 index page and browse through the thumbnails - you'll be impressed!

So on behalf of everyone, Phil, thanks for all your work - it will not be forgotten as long as CSR stands! (And our spankees continue to avoid sitting down ). I can only hope we both live long enough for me to update the Newspaper Gallery with your many finds.

And speaking of the future, let's talk about Next Week: We need a little breather to fully prepare for the New Year, and we'll get it by presenting the long-delayed work of fiction by Gesperax, Crime and Punishment. You may not be able to guess the crime, but you'll surely guess what the punishment is ! If we can manage something else, something simple like a page update, we'll throw that in also.

After three titanic years, the Comic Strip Series concludes at last! First, a burly bouncer spanks Dynamite Dunn's old girlfriend.

The OTK positioning is marred by Hernando spanking with the wrong hand, although two panels before the unknown artist (it may have been creator Vic Forsythe) did a good job with Gloria's expression ("Uh-oh!") as Hernando grasps her firmly and prepares to take her OTK. You can almost feel the butterflies in her stomach.

I like the lead-in to the spanking, and, as you pointed out, the look on her face when Hernando grabs her arm.

And, the use of the "wrong" hand makes the spanking look unnecessarily awkward, but that's not the only time I've seen it done that way. Oh well! Thanks for posting that one.

This Week's Updates:

• We revisit Humorama's Secretary Spanking #3 to see its fourth and final printing.
• The second of two fiction pieces from Gesperax: Crime and Punishment. You may not be able to guess the crime, but you'll surely guess what the punishment is !

I also added Boom's additions to the article on Novelty Paddles and one of Gesperax's illustrations for her earlier story Area 51. (Links not provided here because of the link limit).

This week's Humorama update is exactly what I don't want to do in the future: post only one of the typically-four printings of these cartoons. That means revisiting each cartoon at least twice (as in this case where only the one remaining printing is being posted). My intention for the future is to wait until I either have all four printings or else am reasonably sure there were less than that so that we are only revisiting each cartoon once. At this point, I have three versions of many of the cartoons and lack only one; I have all four printings of only a very few. However, there is so much other Humorama material still to be posted that I think we can be patient for the rest a while longer, although honestly the Humorama search is going very slowly these days.

What Humorama material, you ask? Well, I have some more spanking cartoons that have never been seen, and I think we can start with them, say in March, and do one every month. I also have lots of photos of Humorama models and a few spanking picture sets, plus some more spanking positions.

I am still classifying the new Doctor Cylon material and expect to begin posting it in February as we celebrate Doctor Cylon Month! There are approximately 1600 files in all, but some are duplicates of each other and some are variations on earlier work. But even if there were only 1000, that would last us twenty years at the rate of one per week! So that's what we're going to do - one Doc Cylon update every week, just as we used to years ago.

What else in 2020? Well, we can talk about that next time. I do have a plan, although whether I can carry it out remains to be seen. I was hit pretty hard by personal losses in 2019, and while I hope for better things in 2020 there's only so much of me to go around.

I usually roll these up in the "Weekly Updates" post, but technically they're non-germane to the updates posts, which tend to be pretty long even without them. So let's take a shorter-the-better look at the appalling results of the last couple of months:

Yes, four spankings, but what an ugly four they were!

1. PEP #51 (December 1944, Archie) – Captain Commando strip. M/M, OTK, Hand. Bagpipe-playing Sandy McGown spanks Brooklyn, one of the boy commandos, for trying to silence his bagpipe-playing.
2. PEP #63 (September 1947, Archie) M/F, OTK, Hand, Father/Li’l Jinx – Li’l Jinx uses her violin as a bow to shoot her violin teacher in the behind, so Father spanks her. Second teacher gets it in the behind as well! Archie spanked by his father off-panel in this issue.
3. Feature Comics #32 (May 1940, Quality) M/M, bending over, hand. Dollman whacks some crook – terrible!
4. Joe Palooka #19 (April 1948 Harvey) - M/M, Chickie Ricks/Razma Dazma, paddle, bending over. Chickie Ricks The Flying Fool strip. Silliness about a forged charter in Cairo, Egypt. Chickie subjects Razma to all manner of burlesque physical assaults, including a paddle-swat.

The Flying Fool indeed! If he had any brains he'd have applied that paddle to a female bottom! And we won't be seeing the Li'l Jinx one either even though it's not one of the better-known ones (Li'l Jinx got spanked a lot) because she's a child. The story does have a redeeming feature in presenting two "behind in jeopardy" scenes where the behinds in question belongs to Jinx's grown-up music teachers, and assuming I remembered to save them we'll see them on the forum eventually.

The pity is that all three of these publishers, Archie, Quality, and Harvey, have featured other spankings - nearly 130 between them! - and remain in my view hopeful sources of more OTK action.

On the plus side, I've got the unread Golden Age comics down to a pile of only about 300 now, which is half what it used to be and is much easier to back up.
