Super-Spanking Summer continues with a She-Hulk Special: first, Doctor Cylon's enhanced version of a She-Hulk poster,

There are two ways a cartoonist can deal with the hot spanked bottom of a green-skinned woman. Either he can make it red to symbolize the heat emanating from it, or he can assume that the blood inside is green too and make a green bruise. I see the Doc decided to go the green route. She looks like she's been thoroughly spanked!

On the censorship issue: I can go along with self-censorship when there are things that you choose not to post to your own site. And if the original artist objects, then the work can be completely removed. What I object to is imposed censorship, especially when the government gets involved.

I had not heard of the Red She-Hulk before. Of course I would've preferred to see both of the ladies spanked by men... but it's still fun to see Sue Storm in the OTK position.

August 5th will be Katie's 45th birthday. (That was the date in 2001 of my first O.T. Katie post, and at the time, I thought of her as being 25 years old.) I've got a long story to go with this event, and so, I'll be starting about a month early.

• Super-Spanking Summer continues with Doctor Cylon's enhanced version of Batgirl escaping her spanker - but not entirely unscathed, and then
• we conclude our Sue Storm mini-series with the spanking we were cheated out of (twice!) in the comics: Ben Spanks Sue .
• Extra Bonus: Somehow we got mixed up this week and thought we were still featuring the She-Hulk, so before we worked on the updates we were supposed to be doing we did this one of a subdued looking She-Hulk after she got spanked. No link here because of the two-link-limit, but you can get to it from the Home Page or Comics Page 1.

I think my confusion may have stemmed from the She-Hulk one being in my Doctor Cylon folder since it was he who contributed it although he had not colored it as it was colored already. I started to put it in his gallery and when I realized my mistake I moved it to Comics Gallery 1, but that left us without a Doc Cylon update for the week so I had to scramble and do another one. To whet our appetites for the upcoming Harley Quinn Series, I picked Gene Espy's fine (if unusual) Batgirl drawing as colored by the Good Doctor. Espy drew her with such tight-fitting tights that all Doc had to do was give them some flesh color, plus a little red in a strategic location !

The She-Hulk drawing was done by SchroedingerTales, and I have a couple more from him in the files for future posting. He likes to draw women in embarrassing positions, which includes spanking - and of course spanking is of a lot more interest to us here at CSR than, say, wedgies (shudder) which he also does. This one is a classic spanked-and-subdued situation with She-Hulk obviously feeling very respectful and submissive toward her unseen spanker.

Finally, we wind up the Sue Storm series with a good spanking from The Thing. Although Sue should have been spanked by her other partners as well (Reed is her husband and should have administered some wifely discipline, while Johnny is her brother and could have given her a birthday spanking), it's Ben who very nearly got to spank her twice in the actual comics (the first time we believe it was scripted by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby as a spanking that was censored by the Comics Code Authority - you can find the whole story on the main site) and therefore it is most fitting that he should be the final spanker in this series.

Next week's schedule reminds me once again of the great problem with SSS: too many F/F spankings and not enough M/F. That's one reason I was so pleased with this week's "Thing Spanks Sue"; it restored some balance. With the upcoming Harley mini-series there is so much material featuring Harley, Batgirl, and even Catwoman that I'm going to have to be sure to see that The Joker gets some spanks in also. As the schedule stands, the last three weeks in August will feature Harley bottom-up for her man (The Joker).

I realize we're seeing a lot of Harley Quinn and Batgirl, and in case anyone's wondering, it's not that I have some kind of fixation on these characters, it is (once again) simply that I'm dependent on the artists who produce superheroine spanking drawings, and these two seem to be among their favorite characters. (Also, this week's scene with Harley was taken from an actual comic book, meaning that it needs to be documented anyway). Not that I object to seeing either one of them spanked, of course, but they always seemed to me a rather odd spanking pair - two natural submissives - rather like a comedy team with two straight men. More natural to me would be Batman or Robin or The Joker in the role of spanker and Batgirl or Harley in the role of spankee (not that those haven't been done). We're also seeing a little more of the F/F orientation than I would prefer, as I mentioned last week, and I will try to make up for that as we go along.

And in case anyone starts to get tired of all the Harley/Batgirl material, take heart: first, Doctor Cylon will continue to provide post-spanking pieces in which we may assume the spanker was male, and second, we'll have as many non-Harley/Batgirl pieces as I can manage to prepare for the conclusion of Super-Spanking Summer on Sept. 3.

I'm still under a tremendous strain, but I have managed to finish coding the updates through July and hope to return to the mailbox tomorrow. I really am working on it as hard as I can, but sometimes clearing out two emails can take me an hour and that's a large part of the time I have each week to work on CSR.

Finally, about O.T. Katie's 20th Anniversary on Aug. 5: I'm sure everybody is looking forward to it, and I have a special request for anyone who may have some of Katie's older strips, ones that neither HugoB00m nor I have in our files (i.e. that have never been posted in B00m's gallery or on the main site): could you either post them over in B00m's gallery or send them in to me? It would be a gas to see them again after so many years!

And I can make that promise with authority because I've already coded the Joker/Harley stuff and only have to figure out something M/F for the 09/03 update.

By the way, my future plans are not secret but are in fact embedded in the main site's Home Page so I can't lose track of them. However, you do have to be conversant with displaying a web page's source code in order to see the schedule. You can generally do this by right-clicking anywhere on the page and then choosing "View Page Source" or wording similar to that. Scroll down about 80% of the way and you'll see something like this:

Which is pretty much self-explanatory because I try to make my file names descriptive of the contents (except for Doctor Cylon's page names, which are simply numbered for ease of coding). Or do a find on "Doc Cylon" which should bring you to it. These lines do not appear in your browser's rendition of the page because they are what are known as "comments"; that is, human comments ignored by compilers and interpreters. Every programming language uses them, although strictly speaking HTML is not a programming language but only a "markup language". The main site is almost pure HTML while pages such as this one on the forum are a mixture of HTML and PHP, which is a programming language and can make data base calls. Comments in HTML begin with "<!--" and end with "-->". End of coding lesson.

It's our fifth and final update for July. We have:

I chose "Batgirl's Bottom" for this week's Doctor Cylon contribution as it seemed a natural follow-up to last week's "Harley's Ass". I think everyone will agree that it does not disappoint.

The Comics Gallery 1 entry this week is more problematic but still interesting. While the drawing is rudimentary in some ways, and may have been intended as a preliminary sketch, it does show us Harley teaching Batgirl a lesson - literally. And BG doesn't seem to be much of a student since Harley makes her wear a dunce cap and then paddles her fanny! BG's nicely-arched back, causing her bottom to turn up, is probably the visual highlight of this one.

I'll be out of town next week on an alleged vacation, but as I have done for ten years now I'll be working every day and will update CSR from my secret, remote location. The big update will be the continuation of Resident Artist HugoB00m's O.T. Katie 45th Birthday Celebration (no link here because of the two-link per post limit) in B00m's gallery. This is a long, carefully-planned story that
contains plenty of laughs and, of course, plenty of spankings for Katie!
