HI WEB- ED CSR been about a week since Super Spanking Summer have ended but be a true Spanko I havn`t stop thinking about it like the other day after watching a scene of The Justice League on Youtube where Batman tell SuperGirl to go to her room being she was new to the league and he didn`t trust her yet now this have to be one great scene being Batman a mortal ordering the most powerful female heroine in comics to go to her room well she is just a teenager and Batman is an adult but I was wondering what if she had rebel like I said being a spanko it would be fun to write a story of Supergirl getting a spanking from Batman

Hi Butch - as B00m, said, your story would be helped by some paragraphing and punctuation, but I liked it very much so I am going to undertake that myself. And since I intend to put it in the CSR Fiction Section, I'd have to re-do the paragraphing anyway because HTML does not recognize return characters.

What do I mean by that? On this board, for example, when you want a new paragraph you just hit the old Return/Enter key, which functions partly as the carriage return on a manual typewriter used to, and you get a new line. If you do the same thing in HTML, you will get a new line on the screen in front of you, but it won't be there when you view the page in a web browser. You have to use the tags "<p> </p>" to mark the beginning and end of every paragraph. I have a tool set up to do that to a block of selected text, and that's how I'm going to paragraph your story. Don't know when it will be finished, but I'll let everyone know.

It might appear at first that I've given Doctor Cylon the week off. I thought so myself for a minute before I remembered the truth, that I'm still the same slave-driver I always was but the Good Doctor's contribution this week appears in Comics Gallery 1 rather than his own gallery because the base drawing he modified had already appeared some months ago as Foxtrot Red Hot #2.

I was not able to access this one.

Thanks for promoting my current O.T. Katie story. I'm close to the end of Katie's 45th birthday, (which I've stretched out for over two months now! ) I have another story in progress for Katie.

In reverse order: I'm delighted to promote O.T. Katie as much as I can B00m. As long as you're good enough to keep the story going with more delightful episodes, it's the least I can do. I'll also leave Katie's banner on the Home Page until the story concludes. I really should re-work the banner anyway.

I'm glad you liked the color version of Abbie 'n Slats #3. It's a non-paternal M/F spanking with definite erotic overtones, so I knew it would be up your alley!

As for Foxtrot, boy did I goof - and here's how: The link to Foxtrot appeared in three places, two on the Home Page and one in my post above. At first, I made the same typo in all three places, writing "foxtrot_red_hot" in place of the correct "foxtrot_redhot". That one extra underscore ruined everything, because browsers are very picky about file names. Of course I do test the pages right after loading, and I caught the error, but only the one at the top of the Home Page - the second one went uncorrected, and that was the one I copied over here to the board so of course it was wrong, too. Thanks for letting me know, and it's corrected now so you can check it out any time.

This is the last Foxtrot spanking I have, and I probably would have posted it earlier in the year when I featured the Karstens/Bard cartoons based on the strip if I had realized then that it was in the Doctor Cylon file. But better late than never, and Butch will be pleased that Miss O'Malley isn't!

Once again, Robin rode to our rescue with a completely-unknown spanking from Buck Ryan. This is the only comic strip spanking I can think of in which a bath brush is used as the implement.

Butch wrote a story for us last week and posted it on this thread. As HugoB00m pointed out, it would have been more readable with conventional punctuation and paragraphing, so I provided those and posted "Batman Spanks Supergirl" over in the Fiction Section. Be sure to check it out as it's a short and fun read.

And speaking of B00m, his special O.T. Katie 20th Anniversary story is still going strong, so be sure to check it out each week.

I made one small design change to the Home Page, modifying the archaic radio-button design by hyperlinking the text as well since these days everyone expects links to be in text form. For example, you can get to Comics Gallery 2 either by clicking on the multi-colored button (the old way) or by clicking on the words "COMICS GALLERY 2" (the new way). Radio buttons seemed so cool around 2000 or so when I began cruising the world-wide web in my search for spanking material, but they were never predominant and have pretty much disappeared except for CSR. We're sort of stuck with them now, but then again I've got bigger problems to worry about.

I'd like to spruce up the Home Page a bit more but graphics design is not my forte so any future changes are likely to be rather minor, for instance to the CSR Banner. And while I do renovate the older individual pages when I have to revisit them for some reason - this generally involves minor layout changes plus the addition of links at the top and bottom - a total site makeover is simply impossible even if I had the design skills because I couldn't possibly re-code over 1500 pages!

Next Week: We continue our series Spankings in Comics as Doctor Cylon brings us "The Real Brandy," and then we resume The Humorama Series (for two weeks only) with Bill Wenzel's "Party Gown Spanking".

I'm really not sure why I didn't re-start the Humorama Series in September instead of waiting for October, but whatever my reasoning was I'm sure we'll all enjoy the last two cartoons I have, both from the early 70s and both by Bill Wenzel. In two weeks I'll address the question of where we go with Humorama in the future.

I'm not a fan of how the Foxtrot characters are drawn, but I like the concept. Another instance where the young male student spanks the teacher. I think that must be a popular adolescent fantasy. When I was in my teens, there were some teachers I would've loved to spank... but alas... the opportunity never presented itself!

I think you're right about that. The handle is too long for an effective OTK spanking... unless he would've held the handle closer to the head of the brush. Or if he had bent her over the arm of the couch and stood beside her, for more of a "school paddling" type of punishment. Maybe the artist didn't have a lot of experience drawing spanking situations.

In spite of that flaw, I'm glad to see a mainstream non-parental disciplinary spanking that I have never seen before. Thanks for that, Web-ed!

What you both are saying is quite true, and easily seen with a little geometry (which I won't do in a formal way like we learned in high school). I've written about this in at least two articles (see e.g. All About Paddles). Basically, the longer the implement, the further away you have to be from the spankee (that is, to the left of the spankee if you're a right-handed spanker) to apply the business end evenly across both buttocks. This means longer lengths are only practicable with the spankee in one of the bending-over positions. With OTK, only shorter implements should be used.

The big news this week has to be the conclusion of O. T. Katie's 20th Anniversary special, which has been going on since July! Obviously, you won't want to miss it. Now, I said above that more spankings await Katie, which is a very safe bet , but apparently the next spanking in her strip will be of someone else! I'm sure we're all very curious about who that someone might be...

Doctor Cylon #228: Julius Zimmerman did a nice drawing of Brandy from the Liberty Meadows strip, and of course the Good Doctor approached it the way a major league hitter would approach a fast ball over the middle of the plate. Zimmerman was really quite restrained here; for all his talent he often put Doc (and myself, too) in a bind with the sexually explicit nature of much of his work. Even with no sexual acts, he sometimes goes overboard with what we have called "exposure," and in fact I'm going to have to return to this question in a few weeks when we see one of his many drawings of Playboy's Little Annie Fanny. But this one is erotic without going overboard.

And finally, The Humorama Series: you may remember I was forced to put it on hiatus when Super-Spanking Summer began because I couldn't handle them both at once. We had seen a number of new cartoons, but I had two more in my file and we'll see them this week and next. They are of great interest, I think, because of their novelty, the spankee's nudity (that we only saw during Humorama's later years), and because they are both by Bill Wenzel, whose importance in the history of the spanking cartoon is only increasing. (I have another new non-Humorama Wenzel "spanker" that I'll get to as soon as I can). I'll talk a little more about where we stand with Humorama next week.

It's not Bill Wenzel's best work. The woman seems to have legs that are to skinny for her torso... However, it's good that we're seeing all of his available drawings, And the gag is funny too. (I don't think he objected all that much to the party gown she bought... although at the moment she's not wearing it)

With this week's "Party Gown Spanking" by Bill Wenzel we must reluctantly end our 2021 edition of The Humorama Series, which long-time CSR readers will remember began ten years ago in 2011! So where does that leave us?

First, 229 cartoons have now been identified and posted and they are all in the Humorama Data Base as well, with two of these probably not really from Humorama. (For the latest status report on Humorama, visit The Humorama Tote Board which I do try to keep relatively current.

Of course all good things must come to an end, but the good news is we haven't seen the last of new (that is, previously unseen in the spanko community) Humorama material at CSR :

• Three spanking cartoons apparently dating from 1974 are known to exist and I have scans of them but very poor ones. I am waiting to get actual copies of the magazines to produce better scans. These aren't great - they're like a very rough imitation of Bill Wenzel cartoons we've already seen - but they are authentic Humorama "spankers". The artist's signature is not legible so I don't know who he is, but he did another spanking cartoon for a non-Humorama publisher (see below).
• Other Humorama "spankers" may exist. There are four possibilities, although none of them can be considered very likely:
  1. There are still 5 digests from the "classic" era (1955-60) we have never seen. There could be a new spanker in them, but probably not since we have never seen it reprinted.
  2. Bill Ward may have done another one during the reprint era of the 1960s or possibly even later (B00m and I independently discovered one from 1962, now catalogued as Humorama #197). I don't know how many issues of the mags from this period were published so I don't know how many I've never seen, but it's a fair number.
  3. Bill Wenzel may have done more than the 9 known from the 70s, but again, this is unlikely since I haven't seen them reprinted.
  4. Some other cartoonist may come out of left field (the way Allen Dale and Bill Maul did), again in some 70s issue, with an unknown "spanker"
• Humorama also featured some spanking photos, both of models and some taken from movie stills. I believe I have all of these.
• More Humorama models (and cartoons) featuring spanking positions (i.e. bending over), plus some models who are just interesting to look at.
• Unseen versions of known Humorama spankers. Most of these are just reprints, but some are oddball variations that I have found in strange places, like foreign-language humor books and magazines (truly, the Web-Ed leaves no stone unturned in his quest for more spanking material! ).

Nor is that all: I have spanking cartoons by Morrice, Wenzel, and that Wenzel-imitator I mentioned above, and although they are not from Humorama they are still interesting. I also hope to feature some more non-spanking stuff from Humorama's rivals and, eventually, a history of the spanking cartoon.

So when can I get to all that? Probably not before the conclusion of the current Comics Spankings Series, because doing one of those each week plus one from Doctor Cylon takes up too much time as it is. But I think they should be next after that.

In the preceding post I went on at some length about Humorama so I certainly don't need to say more here. As to Doctor Cylon's rendition of Abbey Chase, in one variation of which she has apparently shot the guy who spanked her, I offered these words of wisdom on the page: "It's probably best, when spanking a Danger Girl, to lessen the danger to oneself by disarming her first." I hate to quote myself, but it's sage advice.

I reworked the CSR logo on the Main Page but I'm not completely satisfied with it so I'll say more next week. Speaking of which:

I was not familiar with Abbey Chase, and so I looked her up. So then... she's not someone to underestimate for sure. Any man who aspires to spank that yummy backside had better be more of an expert in martial arts than she is... and make sure she can't reach her gun!

I see you've incorporated images from all three of your resident artists, plus a panel from a classic romance comic. I think that's a fair representation of the site within the space limitations you have.

One more thing I'll mention is: even though my O.T. Katie 45th Birthday / 20th Anniversary Spanking Extravaganza has come to an end, I'm still doing more O.T. Katie cartoons. This week, Katie's former co-worker got a spanking from the grocer. (Katie is getting a little bit of time to cool off her sizzling derriere after all the spankings she got on her birthday!)
