Maybe it's the red hair (CSR Resident Artist Hugob00m would surely approve as his predilection for redheaded spankees, including his own creation O. T. Katie, is well known),

The Blob is sort of funny-looking here rather than just plain ugly (as in Jack Kirby's original conception of the character), but we should not underestimate this artist's abilities, and there are some erotic factors based mainly on Jean's nice bosom and her bare behind. Jean's expression - she's very, very worried! - would work well for either humor or eroticism, so it supports both in this case.

The artist here has achieved a balance of humorous caricature and eroticism. The Blob is really goofy-looking, but he has very muscular arms... useful in a spanking situation! Jean has over-sized eyes and an over-sized mouth to help exaggerate her expression of panic for the spanking she''s about to get. Her butt and boobs are large, but still within bounds of what you might see on an attractive woman in real life. (And to call further attention to the boobs, they hang over the edge of the frame! ) And, as you point out, the lovely Jean Grey is a redhead! I like this drawing a lot! Thanks for finding it.

Yes indeed, Willjohn, and that classic little film (with a theme song written by Mack David and a then little-known Burt Bacharach!) preceded X-Men #3 by six years, so it may have been on Stan Lee's mind when he was trying to dream up a name for that issue's new super-villain. As I remember it, there was a "Return of the Blob" in issue #7, and also a now-forgotten satirical sequel to the original movie entitled "The Return of the Blob" with Godfrey Cambridge as a bumbling sheriff trying to halt the Blob's feasting on the locals. I don't imagine I'd want to see it again, but I found it mildly amusing at the time.

The Blob, whom the X-Men foolishly tried to recruit as a member, turned out to be a very tough foe for them as he was completely unmovable when he chose to be, and successfully took on the entire team twice. He is in fact a rather logical spanker for the early Jean Grey/Marvel Girl, who was threatened with a spanking by Ben Grimm back in Fantastic Four #28.

You'll be glad to know, Butch, that neither Rogue or Storm are going to escape spanking in the pages of CSR: I have one of Storm and three of Rogue in the Comics folder, and Doctor Cylon has completed one of Rogue and several of Storm! It's only a question of me remembering to post them next Super-Spanking Summer.

This picture brings up the question of whether a green-skinned or blue-skinned woman should be drawn with a darker, or brighter shade of their skintone, to represent the rush of blood to the surface... or red to symbolize the heat she's feeling. The Doctor opted for the red. The shade of red he chose is reminiscent of hot embers or heated metal!

Who gave She-Hulk that blazing bottom? It must've been someone strong!

Because one of the new series involves Humorama, and because the models are usually wearing swimsuits or less, I've decided to suspend the Humorama Models to See More Of series until next summer, which seems the most appropriate time. In its place for Homecoming Week I posted a comics page featuring that arch-Archie-imitator Wilbur getting his hand on a pretty classmate's butt. I'm actually not sure what I'm going to post on this board for the next few months, but I'll think of something. I like this drawing! What I like the most is the elevated position of Veronica's bottom. She's fully-clothed, but those coveralls seem to be stretched to the limit. And the expression on her face says she's feeling the sting!

• Then we start a series of six non-cartoon spankings from Humorama featuring live models with Humorama Model Spanking #1.
• Resident Artist Hugob00m has a new tale featuring O. T. Katie in the workplace: a new rule at the agency requires I.D. for admittance; guess who forgot hers? (No link here but you can find one on the Home Page or go directly to B00m's Gallery).

CSR readers may remember that before Super-Spanking Summer we were in the midst of another long-running comics series. I suppose I should have resumed it, but I've been bothered lately thinking about all the material that's been sent to me over the past few years that I just haven't gotten around to posting. The reason is that my files are organized by category, not chronologically, and consequently when somebody sends me something it could sit around for years before I happen upon it again in the files and post it, and it usually does.

Of course there is some overlap, and some of the comics material from last year was sent to me rather than discovered by myself, but still there's a problem. So I decided to try to figure out what had been sitting around the longest and then post those items this fall. Ironically, the first things I rediscovered were the Humorama Model Spankings, which are my own discoveries and were not sent to me by others. Nonetheless, I decided to go with them, because I've got so much Humorama material that if I don't start posting it, we'll never get through it all!

As an aside and a reminder, there are only three remaining Humorama spanking cartoons known to exist, and I have poor-quality scans of them, but until I have some better scans I won't post them. Honestly, they're not very good in any case, being rough imitations of Bill Wenzel's work, but of course they're still of some minor interest. As far as I know, they were only published twice. You can always check the Humorama Tote Board to see where we stand on Humorama spanking cartoons (ignore the date shown for the post because I keep editing it and this does not change the date; I put the true date of last update into the post itself). And there is one other, non-Humorama spanking cartoon by this artist which I hope we will see within the next year.

Meanwhile, for Doctor Cylon's Gallery, I decided to do all his Flintstones/Jetsons material. There's just the right amount of it to make a good series without going on for too long, and I sort of want to get it out of the way because I really never liked either show. In addition to some nice red bottoms, there are some actual spankings involving these characters. This series should last about ten weeks.

Next Week: The Flintstones/Jetsons series continues with Jetsons #3, and the Humorama Model Spankings Series continues with Model Spanking #2. Extra Bonus: More spanking fiction from D. M. Sherwood!

Ha ha! The two ladies are trying to rub away each other's sting after they both got spanked by their husbands. Too bad the artist didn't show the two spankings in progress. CalMePo has added more curves to the women than the original Hanna-Barbera cartoonist gave them.

I remember seeing some of these types of photos before. You're probably right about Irving Klaw. Too bad Mr. Klaw only ever seemed to want to do F/F poses. I would've liked to see some of his models turned over the knees of men.

• Doctor Cylon continues his Flintstones/Jetsons Series with Judy Jetson in Jetsons #3.
• The Humorama Model Spanking Series continues with Humorama Model Spanking #2. This one is M/F, and because it's from 1959 the models are actually well dressed!

Although we will be seeing Jane Jetson also during the Flintstones/Jetsons Series, Judy is probably the more natural spankee and she certainly looks naughty in this week's entry!

The entries of the Humorama Model Spanking Series certainly vary in quality. This week we at least have a M/F scene although both models are fully clothed (this was 1959), something that will change soon. This is one of those "husband gets to legally spank his wife" type scenes that occasionally turned up during the 40s and 50s. Unspectacular but certainly of some interest as we see more of the non-cartoon side of Humorama.
