Here we have a spanking from Dixie Dugan, believed to be from 1935. There was an indication that the date was January 1 of that year, but since "9-27" clearly appears in the first panel, let's agree the date is uncertain. Written by J.P. McEvoy (who also wrote the novel in which Dixie first appeared) and drawn by John H. Streibel, the presentation is unusual in using "spank" as a sound effect and in making a joke about the spanking in the subtitle ("A Slapping Good Time"). Apparently the spankee is being punished for slapping Dixie's face, but her name is unknown.

This is the only M/F spanking we know about from the strip, although there was a F/M one we have documented in the Comic Spanking Data Base.

04/01/2011 Update: We now have some more information on this, and best of all, it's in the form of another version of the same spanking which was apparently presented a couple of days earlier. Also, a second M/F spanking from Dixie Dugan is now known, although it takes place off-panel.

Here are the new panels. It appears the personnel involved are Gerald, the little boy who's somehow behind the trouble, his mother who slaps Dixie, and her brother Steve, making this a rare brother/sister spanking (which we like).

Gerald's mother has slapped poor Dixie in the face.

A defiant attitude that needs adjusting.

And here it comes - Steve is about to take his sister over his knee!

01/16/2015 Update: Here's a fairly nice photostatic copy of the 9-25 strip that we found at Richard Windsor, who's mainly known for discovering spanking photographs but also on occasion manages to dig up an interesting comic.
