Only one issue after the third and last spanking for Patsy Walker in her own title, her archrival Hedy Wolfe wound up spanked by her father once again in Patsy Walker #42 (September 1952 - bi-monthly comics were not unusual at this time). Alas, the spanking takes place off-panel, but as it has a striking similarity to Patsy's in the previous issue we'll take a quick look at it now. Again, our thanks to Robin for bringing these to our attention.
The story this time concerns Mr. Wolfe's ambition to become the president of the local chamber of commerce. Hedy gets a brainstorm: she can earn some bonus points with her father and, she hopes, get Buzz Baxter to ask her out by giving him the exclusive story for the newspaper. Buzz, who's having trouble finding good story material, agrees and takes a set of candid photos of Mr. Wolfe. Unfortunately, he fails to run them by Hedy before submitting them to the newspaper for publication. The result is a very unflattering story that earns Hedy another sore bottom, and we see her in the last panel waiting with the now-familiar pillow strapped to her behind for Buzz to come over so she can clobber him with a golf club.

Mr. Wolfe's campaign slogan was to be "Courage - Dignity - Good Will" and Hedy arranged for it to accompany Buzz's
pictures. It's actually hard to believe that Wolfe was so venal a character as to rob a blind woman (he may
have been a little greedy, perhaps), and we don't want to know how Buzz got that photo in his bathroom, but the
"end" result was that Hedy joined the same pillow-strapped-on-sore-behind club as Patsy and Nancy!
