This cartoon by George Morrice resembles one by Herc Ficklen, Snack or Smack?, that we posted back in 2010 except in that one the spanker was actually eating a healthy-sized snack while smacking the spankee's behind. This time, the spankee invited the spanker up for a "snack" which he mis-heard (perhaps deliberately) as "smack" - and he proceeds to smack away!

A shapely target and good expressions on the faces of the participants (satisfaction on the spanker's, discomfort on the spankee's) are the highlights here, typical of Morrice. It seems odd that we have never seen this one reprinted, but we must reserve judgment until we have searched through all the digests and magazines from 1961-81 (the reprint era).
