Back in Secretary Spanking #21, we mentioned that we had discovered the existence of a very similar cartoon. While we still don't have that cartoon's first appearance, we did find a copy of Cartoon Parade from April 1968 that reprinted it on the cover.

The secretary this time wears a noncommittal expression - we can't tell if she likes being spanked or not. At least she does look reasonably intelligent in contrast to the brainless bimbos of Bill Ward, which is typical of Homer. The boss certainly looks happy enough, and even the other secretaries seem content to work in an office where they may very well get spanked themselves before long. Homer was obviously very comfortable with office settings. We wouldn't mind working in one of his offices ourselves if the secretaries were so understanding about being spanked!

Another version, source unknown.

At left we have a somewhat higher-resolution scan, but the source is still unknown. We retrieved it from its former station in one the first Humorama pages we did way back when. Then we forgot about it when we discovered the version above, and created this new page, so we had two pages featuring the same cartoon - what a mess! Finally, we've combined the two here, retired the old page, and renumbered all the Secretary Spankings. [07/25/2012]
