It's hard to believe it's been eight years since we've seen Tim's eleven Humorama Pastiches! At that time, we concluded with #9 (we presented them out-of-sequence) but at some point Tim did three more that we've been sitting on for several years and we're going to present them now.
WHAX! is another Humorama-like cover (for the covers did often have "spankers" on them), dated "Feb. 1954" which is just a little earlier than the first Humorama spanking cartoons, and showing Tim's attention to detail, the confusing designation "Vol. 5 - No. 63" - Humorama never did seem to understand that when you increment the Volume number you also reset the numbering to "1". The cartoon itself is in the style of Kirk Stiles complete with a happy-looking, pipe-smoking spanker rolling up his sleeves. The gag, "I hope you realise I'm not going to take this lying down" is based on the figurative "lying down" contrasted with the literal bending down, for our spanked wife most assuredly is being made to bend over to take the swats she presumably deserves.
